The same could be said of pretty much every media outlet that's been around long enough to have evolved in the modern 24 hour news and internet world. Right-wing media is literally no different. This may be what this guy feels compromised NPR, but it can be applied almost universally to media on both sides.

And that's not even counting all the mindless blogs and "news" sites like Newsmax and Media Matters that came along after 24 hour news and internet became the standard that have been doing that since their inception, who exist for that very purpose.

    I read it.

I read the post you claim to be responding to. The one where he DID NOT accuse Fox of being honest.

Once Barr had provided cover for Trump by not indicting Trump over the Russian collusion, right wingers have since tried to insist that the whole well documented and uncontested events never happened.

The Hunter Biden trope is a Russian operation. They fed Guliani the entire thing.

The “China virus” reflects your preference for a right wing claim unsupported by evidence.

whether you like it or not, Fox is ON RECORD for lying to its audience. They paid three quarters of a billion dollars for the privilege.

The entire editorial highlighted right wing tropes. Not news.

So, “informed”people get their “news” from Steve Bannon’s podcast and Joe blow with a red hat on Telegram (who may or may not be Russian or Chinese).

No matter. As long as the audience hears what it wants to hear.

Your ‘greatest fear” was realized a long time ago, when Russians made up a substantial number of the so-called “independents”.

And Trump nation ate it up.

That's freakin' troubling.... Bannon was pardoned by Trump for ripping off the MAGA base.

Fox has never actually done that.

They invite stick figure liberals on so they can ridicule, abuse, and talk over them.

Fox was never a news organization, so it never made any attempt to be balanced (except for a slogan). It is political marketing. Which is what Roger Ailes always intended it to be. Right wing talk radio with pictures for an uncritical and poorly informed audience.

FYI, the assertion that NPR instructs people how to think is just petty nonsense.

I know that some outlets reported — accurately — that there was a Russian interference campaign in 2016 (they also did it in 2020 and China has already been seen doing it for 2024) — and some have complained that the election was stolen from the people due to the electoral college.

Slightly different than saying there was massive fraud at all levels of government and that the entire system is corrupt while telling people to march on the capital… but I digress.

As for someone of your caliber calling anyone else partisan, that’s hilariously ironic.

You do know that people can easily check to prove you wrong? Yes?

    Fox News viewership is up
    https://deadline.com/2024/01/cable-news-ratings-january-fox-news-1235808776/amp/

But I do agree with you on independent content creators, far more reliable. But right wing media has a death grip on their audience

Those who wish to be free will understand this. Arguing about which outlet is best at creating stupidity in it’s consumers is a waste of energy.

Guy doesn't note the biggest difference between NPR and Fox.
NPR is subsidized with the tax dollars of Republicans. They deserve representation from this public funded offering.

Can anyone here name a conservative or right leaning news source that is generally recognized as accurate and authoritative ?

And, right off the bat, we can dismiss the likes of FaUX and the tabloid entertainment sources like breitbart, newnsmaxx, oneamerica........

no surprises in the article. NPR is in essence a propaganda arm of the Democrat party

FOX is SEVERLY biased, ans 100% in business of telling people what to think, - probably more than any other major network. I don't listen to NPR, so I can't comment on their bias. We know CNN has left bias. IMO its best to stay away from all major US networks because they are all hopelessly biased one way or another, and it's hilarious FOX would make headlines about the bias of NPR.

Not any more hilarious than the apparent fear the left has of Fox News.

Politicians agree to interviews to be seen and heard, it's what they do. I listened to Tuberville speak about transgender athletes in women's sports this morning and then read some of this article. Tuberville for President gets my vote. He still has both feet on the ground while the NPR guy is wondering how he got up there. Tell him Tommy.

No, what I mean is that you didn’t address a single point I made. And I doubt you have ever changed anyone’s mind as that typically requires nuanced discussion.

And for you not to be addressing me, you direct quoted me and the proceeded to use the word “you” several times — which would indicate that you are speaking to the individual quoted.

But sure bro. You do you.

Please don't gaslight. Pointing out the obvious does not translate to fear. Also, you don't have to be "the left" to see the obvious. Not sure what it makes you if you DON'T see the obvious bias in US media networks.

Well, I suppose this means you FEAR NPR. Thanks for sharing.

Except that NPR is publically funded and thus supposed to represent everyone by being down the middle. At least that is the assumption everyone has always pushed with them. This was always a lie of course. They have always been leftist and then they took a hard turn into looney ville a decade or so back.

That guy said there were 80 something people on their editorial staff, and it turns out, ALL of them registered Democrats. That isn't happenstance.
