Who told you that?

Ukraine is pressing the disabled to the front line because they're running out of warfighters. Ukrainian fighting men are taking every avenue possible to avoid conscription, presumably because they'd rather be conquered by Russia than fight Russia. No amount of materiel will win a war without an appropriate number of willing personnel trained and capable of operating it. The thing Ukraine needs most is also the thing we can't send them- troops.

 

where do you get that idea?

 

Obviously those promoting war with Russia believe the fair tale nonsense spewed by the MIC/State Department. It doesn't take much to get those raised on Cold War propaganda (especially veterans before wokeness/DEI in the military) to beat the war drum.

It's like we have Gordon Chang, John Bolton, Jack Keane and John Brennan here in the forum.

I have been searching for something that makes Ukraine essential to US National Security and can find nothing It doesn't have massive microchip production like Taiwan. It was part of the old Soviet Union for decades and that was never of any particular importance.
"Worthless" was unfortunate wording. But in the general scheme of things it is no more essential to US National Security than Tibet.

 

I read the stats somewhere in a usually reliable source on US defense policies, programs and economics. I'll try to dig it up if you request it. For the rest it's not 'running out' of warfighters (yet) its being forced into considering expanding the draft. Thats a different thing. For the next year or two it should be able to stay in the fight with appropriate support. And for that matter as I've noted before Russia is also facing it's own deadline, only in their case its not manpower it's equipment. Currently it sustains it's war effort by drawing down and reactivating equipment from its old, cold war stockpile. Satellite imagery reveals that more than half of that equipment has now been used up (after accounting for scrap).

Remember, to date more than 15000 Russia tanks, vehicles, guns, radar sets and other pieces of expensive Russian military hardware and equipment have been destroyed or captured by Ukraine. And that's just the visually confirmed losses. The real figure will be even higher. The kicker being production of new war fighting equipment. For example Russia has already lost about 3000 tanks. The best (largest) non Kremlin estimate of war time annual production I've been able to find? Is a maximum of about 400 new tanks a year. What state would US ground forces be in if faced with those kind of losses and with no sign to an end of the fighting in sight and that kind of new output figures?

P.S. One estimate I've seen for the maximum rate at which the US could produce new Abrams in the event of war is about 1000 new hulls p.a. So given the disparity in industrial output and capacity between the US and Russia I don't see the figure of 400(ish) tanks I quoted for Russia as being unreasonable.

It will be the best possible base for military operations aimed at exterminating the Russian state.

You keep repeating that nonsense but no matter how many times you do, it will not become true. Just like zelenskystein claiming only 40K men have been lost.

 

A big role in orchestrating the Maidan revolution in Ukraine that threw out the pro Russian government to be replaced with a pro US government, that has lead to this conflict.

 

Who mentioned Zelenskyy "Bill', not me. I just referred to visually confirmed Russian equipment losses and estimates of it's capacity to replace those losses with 'new builds' given Russia's know pre-war production capacity as the starting point. It not my fault if it looks like the Russian army will be towing artillery into position using horses by 2027.

And I trust the sources I use a lot more than I do official Russian ones Bill because Russian ones tend to make ridiculous claims. Remember the things like the American Generals supposedly being trapped with Ukrainian marines Bill? The thousands of NATO soldiers supposedly wearing Ukrainian uniforms involved in the fighting or (my favorite) the entire Ukrainian army having been wiped out twice over since the war began (which is only beaten of course by the 'fact' that apparently the Ukrainian Air Force has been shot down three times over! )

No, its geo-located photographic evidence of destroyed Russian equipment Bill taken by photographers on the ground and corroborated wherever possible by satellite imagery. Numbers that are only included after being filtered to avoid double counting. In other words about as good as you can without relying on official government data. And the people doing the counts aren't government.

I leave the 'bullshit (uncorroborated) narratives' to the experts in such things. Hint That means you Bill (Wave to cameras.)
