--A county judge dismissed 140 cases against migrants charged with rioting at the U.S. southern border, finding there was no reason to arrest them. --El Paso County Court at Law 7 Judge Ruben Morales on Monday found no probable cause from Texas Department of Public Safety state troopers to restrain the 140 migrants who were arrested earlier this month for rioting, according to the El Paso Times. The charges stemmed from an incident on April 12 when a group of migrants in El Paso’s Lower Valley cut through concertina wire at the border and then rushed into the U.S. --- Talk about a moron judge. Imagine how the state troopers must feel? Deport, deport, deport, let 'em get in line like the rest of the law-abiding migrants. They used to be called 'illegal aliens', then they became 'undocumented', now they are called 'migrants'. The media, Biden, and the democrats are doing a good job brainwashing us. All these unvetted illegals are going to bring about a catastrophic event one day.
What was not mentioned in the post is that the reason this was done. It was done so that they could be transfered from state custody to federal custody. "The migrants will now be released from state custody. However, all 140 migrants are still facing federal charges of illegal entry into the U.S. and will be turned over to federal custody. The dismissal does not mean the migrants can't be charged with riot participation later. The El Paso District Attorney's Office can still indict them on those charges." https://www.elpasotimes.com/story/n...riot-arrests-judge-ruben-morales/73418221007/
Notice the OP didn't bother to put up a link to a story? Probably because of what you posted and wants to spread fake news? There's also this, ... Judge Ruben Morales, of El Paso County Court at Law No. 7, on Monday dismissed the cases after reviewing an affidavit, ruling that there was not enough probable cause provided by the state. Hicks acknowledged that it’s rare to put a misdemeanor case in front of a grand jury, which he said are typically convened only for felony cases. ... Hicks said the evidence against the migrants charged with rioting “is that that individual is part of the group.” “Through videotape, we know that the group is a concise group,” he said. “If you’re a part of the group that is committing a criminal act, you know that you’re part of that group, you know that the group has committed a criminal act, then you are guilty of the offense of riot.” The affidavits filed by DPS troopers didn’t identify anyone who actually witnessed the migrants riot. https://elpasomatters.org/2024/04/23/el-paso-da-bill-hicks-migrant-riot-indictments-border-wall/ ... Weird, judges following actual law. I guess.
They dropped the riot charge, because there was no actual riot. https://elpasomatters.org/2024/04/23/el-paso-da-bill-hicks-migrant-riot-indictments-border-wall/
Who is they? They, should have names. The OP is fake news. Didn't even supply a link. Which is why it wasn't placed into current events forum. Because it's a lie about the circumstances. Myself and another poster have posted links to the story. Read them. Get informed. From the link I provided you. ... They, are the illegals who assaulted United States troops. Funny how y'all aren't so hyped up about U.S. servicemen getting assaulted, now...lol Looks like a riot to me. I guess you would call it "mostly peaceful"...lol
Just pointing out that the story was not exactly complete and left people to make assumptions and sometimes those are not accurate. I don't understand why any person (and apparently some do) would want less information when making a decision. Another point: the feds can deport them, the state can not.
I turned the video off after the news anchor David Muir called them "migrants". Maybe he considers the people in uniform are the rioters.
Biden's open border policies are causing lots of deaths, not just to the people who die or are murdered on their way here, but by the cartels who are fighting to make money by smuggling people into this country. As you can see, people are paying up to $15,000 to be smuggled into this country and that is a sum I think Iran, Hamas and ISIS can afford. Eight dead bodies dumped near El Paso border as rival cartels battle over migrant smuggling routes The bodies of eight men slaughtered by a gang were dumped along a popular migrant route to the US border Sunday — a chilling message from one cartel to another as they war over human trafficking, sources told The Post. The victims had multiple stab wounds, showed signs of torture and had been shot according police, who found them semi-naked along the side of the highway between Chihuahua City and Juarez, the El Paso Times reported. Those killed have yet to be identified. A note was pinned to one of the bodies with a knife including the line “Chihuahua tiene dueño,” which translates to “Chihuahua has an owner” — a phrase used by one cartel to assert their dominance in the area. Victor Avila, a retired agent for Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), told The Post the area surrounding El Paso, is “one of the most coveted trafficking corridors from Mexico that exist” and the business of migrant smuggling has become the biggest cash cow. People smuggling into El Paso is controlled by three cartels, Sinaloa, La Linea and La Empresa, according to sources. “Just a few years ago, the cartels never dealt with humans, not human trafficking or human smuggling. You had human trafficking organizations and human smuggling organizations that’s all they did, and the cartels did the drugs and other things,” said Avila, who was shot in the line of duty by a Los Zetas cartel member. “But that’s what has completely changed. The cartels saw the amount of potential money to be made with the human [smuggling] and they’ve now taken over.” “These human trafficking organizations and human smuggling organizations now have been incorporated and answer to the cartels and that’s where a lot of the struggle is because, yes, the cartels do want that money to be paid to them.” Two more people were located burned inside a vehicle a little further up the road to the border on the same day, both citizens of the Mexican state of Sinaloa, Chihuahua Attorney General Cesar Jauregui told reporters. Officials think they were connected to the eight bodies by the side of the road, but could not say if they were killed by a rival gang or their own cartel to cover their tracks. ....................... In the last year there has been an explosion of thousands from China, India, the Middle East, Eastern Asia and African nations paying up to $15,000 each to be smuggled into the US over the Southern Border, fuelled by loose border policies which have allowed millions in to seek asylum. https://nypost.com/2024/04/24/us-news/eight-dead-bodies-dumped-near-el-paso-border/
I wonder who the cartels and human smuggling organizations, want to win the presidency come November? Does a Biden s*** in the woods?
