This threat by DHS almost guarantees that woke colleges won't suspend foreign protesters.

These idiotic protesters are putting their futures at risk. If colleges are supposed to be places of learning, then why are they allowing these protests? As stated below, it's hurting the reputation of the schools.

Ivy League grads risk losing prized jobs for schools allowing antisemitic protests to fester: Wall Street honchos

The violent, antisemitic protests at some of the nation’s elite colleges has forced top corporate recruiters to assess the quality of the education dispensed at these places — and whether they should look elsewhere for job candidates, the Post has learned.

Activist investor Daniel Loeb, a Columbia University graduate, has begun to reconsider whether to focus offering jobs at his hedge fund to fellow alums and other Ivy League schools like Harvard, Yale, Penn amid their tepid responses to the protests on their campuses, he told The Post.

“We’ve always looked beyond the target schools but we’re doing it even more so now given recent events,” Loeb told The Post on Wednesday.
    ...................
Loeb’s firm, Third Point, which manages $11 billion in assets, regularly recruited from places like Columbia in the past, he said.

Now, he’s broadening his focus to schools like Yeshiva University, the University of Florida and Emory University.
    .................
The anti-Israel protests now at Columbia, and throughout some of the country’s once revered, top-tiered universities are tarnishing degrees from these places, these people say.
    ..................
Recruiters see the bungling responses from school administrations to the protests — such as Columbia calling for remote learning as officials negotiate with anti-Israel protesters to decamp from their disruptive tent-cities on campus — as endemic of a wider problem at the schools from an academic standpoint.

At issue: Can schools that rationalize non-stop protests while allowing course curriculum that imbibes students with a leftist interpretations of world events be trusted to produce quality job candidates?

What about Texas or North Carolina? Protesters are doing the same there, how come we don’t see reports from those schools from Fox?

The same reason they have to allow things like Westboro Baptist or the 7th day adventists on campus to stand around telling everyone they're going to burn in hell.

    1st amendment protections are strong.

The only way they get them out at Columbia was 1) open threats of violence 2) actually barring passage of persons trying to go about their business 3) they set up camp and started sleeping there.

That’s the difference. People really don’t have a major problem with just speech. It’s when that speech starts turning into personal threats, mobs, safety issues, breaking ordinance laws, students being surrounded or followed. It’s VERY different than just kids holding signs during the afternoon then going home and coming back. If 100s or 1000s of kids were chanting death to an African country or Hispanic country, how quickly would the expulsions come flying? Instant racism!!! We all know it.

The double standard is obvious and easy to see on action. Jews aren’t “oppressed” so it’s fine to want us wiped off a map. We’re just a step away from white people, even though Israelis ethnically are NOT exactly white. But whatever. POC privilege on full display. Many are so brave they cover their faces because they KNOW what they’re doing is disgusting.

    Yes. Gaza is learning that.

    Nice work, Columbia Student Body.

Israeli student elected by Columbia for role of student president as protests surge. “Columbia University has elected Israeli student Maya Platek as Columbia student government president for the 2024-2025 school year, the organization Students Supporting Israel (SSI) announced Friday. The election of an Israeli student for the role comes as the Columbia campus experiences an overwhelming wave of anti-Israel protests and encampments. Platek has been determined to speak up for Jewish students on campus as a member of SSI, an organization that, according to its website, aims to allow for a pro-Israel voice on college campuses.”

'Bullying is much harder when you can’t identify targets. And the left’s power on campus — and most everywhere else — is based on bullying.'

I don't know of the other schools. But here in Texas UT has a protest but really why would a Jewish student waste money going to that place.
