Where did he say people who committed violent acts were being held hostages? You do know lots of non-violent protesters went to jail.

"The arrests remain evenly divided for data as of Jan. 2: about half of the defendants have been charged with at least one felony, such as assaulting police or obstructing the congressional proceeding, and half have been charged with misdemeanors such as trespassing or disorderly conduct."

    Here:

And he doesn't distinguish between those who have been violent and those who have not.

Aren't you tired of defending the indefensible?

    I don't give a s***.

    Give me the timestamp

OH I see you are interpreting for him again to say what you want him to say.

Aren't you tired of defending the indefensible?

    Oh yes you do.

Yes, I've searched Google. Didn't see it. I do find how they did sentence people that hurt the protesters. Also one guy sentenced $20k for trying to burn down two businesses while another got 5 yrs for setting a dumpster on fire. It was was down the list but one guy got 10 years for throwing a molotov cocktail. So far, nothing about the guy that tried to blind the police officer.

    No.

I'm not going to encourage your intellectual laziness.

You've got the video, check it out.

    I'm not interpreting, it's a fact.

Because unlike you, I watched the video.

And at no point does he differentiate between violent and non-violent rioters.

Trump says that all the 1/6 prisoners are hostages.

No you’re interpreting by claiming he means something other than what he said.

Is his background supposed to be seen as a disadvantage ?? And an excuse for his conduct?? Oh well, at least he gets some prison time.

"hostage" !!! ??? My goodness, the Trumpians have more labels and excuses to justify bad/ criminal behavior. But then that is one of Trump's traits: re brand issues to fit into his world view.

Never said anyone who engaged in a violent act especially an assault on a police officer should get a pardon where did you get that idea? Haven't heard Trump or anyone else say it either.

This case was without a lethal or even serious force, pepper spray is a legal non-lethal weapon that does not cause permanent damage or injury. Two years to think about it about should teach this guy his lesson I would think. Had it been a club or other object that could cause serious or evern fatal injury certainly much more. How about you or do you think anyone who pepper sprays or assaults the police with any other type of irritant or chemical should get more?

Did he say no pardons for those who were violent? Or did he just promise pardons.

    AbsaByGodLutely!

IMHO, he's lucky he's alive to go to trial. Which shows the unbelievable restraint the Capitol Police exercised that day.

Anywhere else, with that kind of mayhem going on, if you pepper sprayed a policeman it would surprise no one if you were shot.

I guess homeschooling is a handicap per the judge, and makes him less responsible for his actions as an adult

Yes, I'm not going to watch 4 minutes of a video which has nothing to do with the subject due to your intellectual laziness to post a response. You watched give me the timestamp for when he says what you claim.

Then prove it else stop wasting my time.

Give me the time stamp where he says it.

Where does he say the violent ones?

    Where?

Watching the video takes less time than writing your message.

That's how badly you manage your priorities.

but I thought the police just invited them in with open arms, have Trumpers been lying to us

    https://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/new...ate-flag-gets-over-2-years-in-prison/3838562/

"After marching to the Capitol, Easterday joined other rioters in storming the East Plaza. He waved his flag as he pushed his through the mob to reach the the East Rotunda Doors, where he separately attacked the two officers.

Pollitt lost consciousness and collapsed in the mob after Easterday sprayed his unprotected face.

“Once Officer Pollitt regained consciousness, he was terrified by how vulnerable he had been,” prosecutors wrote. "The intense pain and vision loss continued for hours."

A video shows Easterday smirking just before he sprayed Acevedo."

That would be Trump's way of showing gratitude for their "support" and bad behavior. Bad conduct that was done FOR Trump . in his "fight fight fight" to regain office.

Reminiscent of how he only pardoned people who refused to cooperate with Mueller

He either got a light sentence or many of the other rioters were given far too harsh sentences.

Quote him and cite the source. I have ZERO trust in what other people tell me 'Trump said.' It usually turns out to be either a flat out lie, unreasonably decontextualized, or deliberately misunderstood.

I may still vote RFK if it appears he has any chance of winning. Oddly, ppl do the exact same thing to the sutff he says too... and by 'ppl', I mostly mean corporate media. Mostly.
