Here's your clue for the day: In this "hush money" trial, Trump was not trying to conceal a crime, he was trying to conceal his extramarital affair(s) from his wife, and from voters. The crime was in the various actions taken in paying off Stormy Daniels that involved fraud.

 

There's a NY statute that allows multiple misdemeanors to be combined into a felony offense.

 

Timing ? There was no good time for an ex President to be prosecuted. They passed through judges and grand juries. The evidence is sufficient.

 

You need to read the charges. Using campaign funds is illegal. Using illegal campaign funds to alter an election which is also illegal, is a felony. The testimony has stated….they are singing like birds. If there was no guilt, why ask for immunity ?

Because as the Mueller report showed, Flynn did nothing. The allegations against him were fabrications of the Hillary's campaign.

Just as the FBI released damaging info about Trump and the crossfire Hurricane investigation based upon Hillary's fictional Russian Dossier. The investigation into Hillary was valid. Investigation of Trump was based upon fiction created by Hillary's campaign.

 

Pecker may have been a Trump friendly witness. Turley says Trump should not criticize him because his testimony helped Trump. Perhaps Trump is listening to Fox News.

 

Because he's finally having his day in court and the case is being torn to pieces? Pecker's testimony was actually very impressive, he was very honest, he initially helped the prosecution but arguably helped Trump more with his cross examination.
