Personally, I believe a President has an extra burden to take care of how he uses his speech. both publicly and personally.

See how easy that is? If politicians demonstrate their unworthiness to hold public office, it is up to the electorate to NOT vote for them. Unfortunately, Trump has a large number of groupies who put him in the Republican nominee seat.
My personal opinion is that Trump is really, really unfit for being president, regardless of who he is running against. He should not be the Republican nominee, there were other decent candidates, but the cult of personality won out. Sad.

 

I think we both agree, but at the end of the day it is the results that matter.
I wish I could create a ratio of media coverage of things done vs media coverage of things said. Things Trump did legislatively gets way less press than things he said.

It sounds like you're condoning Democrats saying Trump should be shot. That would be typical, since that's what the Left Wing media's trying to do with their rhetoric, saying Trump is an "existential threat" and "will destroy democracy". That kind of rhetoric is dangerous and it's intentional.
