Their lurid sideshow is an extravaganza of flatulence that is irrelevant to the judicial process.

Judging by all the desperate attempts to conceal evidence, gag witnesses, malign officers of the court and their families, as well as contrive endless excuses for delays, they don't seem confident of acquittal.

    Put him in jail.

§ 17-152 ""shall be guilty of a misdemeanor."".... So this is yet the SECOND misdemeanor that has run out the statute of limitations..

""Read the indictment, read the indictment"" the left exclaims.... and yes I did....so...

Here is the indictment.... Please show us the charge of "Conspiracy" anywhere in this indictment... or 17-152... Copy and paste please

    @Natty Bumpo

The simple fact my liberal friend..... they ALL walk away with no mark whatsoever on their record at all... it is literally removed from any of their records, no charges, no indictments, no plea deal,
    nothing...
    gone...

All "guilty pleas" were actually deferred adjudications under Georgia's First Offender Act (§ 42-8-60) which means, as the court states below, each defendant will be "completely exonerated of guilt" if they complete probation. Zero Judgments of Guilt. Zero Convictions. Fani ZERO convictions...

A cult infested the GOP, in 2016 and festered, and the American electorate expressed its abhorrence in 2018, 2020, and 2022.

The outrage at the overthrow of established law regarding reproductive freedom is being expressed in polls and state referenda.

The Party's internal Congressional chaos and hyper-partisan derangement that perverts their members into pushing fake Russian propaganda and defeating major progress in border security leaves little in the way of accomplishment for them to tout.

Your ruling is noted for what it's worth.

Did you pound a gave when you ruled on it?

You do realize that for folks who don't live in the MAGA fantasy bubble, what they see is a mouthy brat being disrespectful, intimidating and harassing witnesses and court officials, and making a general mockery of the court and then being held accountable for it. It's only you guys trying to force a fake narrative into reality that are having a comprehension problem.

Bragg is charging 34 felonies with a potential of 136 years’ imprisonment — by stitching together two misdemeanors, as to which the statute of limitations lapsed four years before Bragg finally indicted the case, to qualify for the six-year felony statute of limitations..

No respectful jury would be able to make a judgement on such crazy lawfare... reasonable doubt could never be decided on such doubtful charges...

No he's not! He's being tried for falsifying business records. It's CLEAR he did that. There is not much to be argued, and Trump's lawyers know that. The prosecution could rest their case TODAY, sit back, and there is enough evidence for Trump to be sentenced. Now they have to figure out the MOTIVE why he falsified those records to determine what his sentence will be. If the motive had been that he wanted to test his accounting system... See how keen they were at detecting errors... but then he got distracted (just a hypothetical), he might get a lighter sentence. If his intent, on the other hand, were something like... to potentially hide campaign contributions, then the sentence will be heftier. But he's not being tried for campaign contribution any more than he's being tried for testing his accounting system. That will come later. And don't be surprised if it DOES come later.

Trump is already a convicted criminal. And that also will weigh into the sentence. Now this is not going to be his first offense. If he goes to prison, you can be sure that he will NEVER come out.

Fake news. The Statute of Limitations ran out on that minor offense 4 years ago.

No it's not. Cohen invoiced Trump for legal fees and his bookkeeper paid it. The federal government looked at these allegations and closed the investigation on anything related to federal criminal penal codes and campaign law. Unlike his opponent, a previous NY senator, who was sanctioned for hiding the funding for the Steele Dossier. As reminder, this was in relation to a federal election.

What should the ledger notes and checks have been made out to in order to comply with the law? Bragg has never said. Doesn't seem anyone knows.

This is as silly as saying "Biden is already a convicted criminal." Neither is true and it calls into question everything you've said before this when such a glaring falsehood could be said with any level of seriousness. I'm not sure where people get their fake news from to come to such ridiculous partisan conclusions, but it's a good indicator that it's probably time to branch out into lesser biased sources and/or not trusting Internet memes.

They should have been listed as "Repayment" or something similar

They were listed as "Retainer" to hide what they were actually for.

Fake News. He wasn't asked about the Grand Jury, he was asked if he KNOWINGLY violated any laws while going after Trump and he refused to answer in order to avoid self-incrimination.

The point is we are now in the middle of a presidential campaign. Some fascist, tin pot dictator judge in New York City has not right to interfere with that. I have lost all respect for the count system in New York City. it is equal to that found in Russia and third world countries. From Alvin Bragg to the courts, the whole system is dysfunctional and corrupt. It can't prosecute criminals, but it can get involved in national elections.

Wrong! The statute of limitation does not run out in circumstances like, for example, the indicted criminal moving out of state. 4 years ago Trump was living in DC.
