Hybrid sales are soaring, which suggests that consumers are waiting for cheaper electric cars and more charging infrastructure.

    I drive one.

I also got tired of cleaning carburators and dealing with bad gas and I new have both an electric week wackier and lawn mower. No fuss, no muss, no bother.

I would not even consider an ICE generator.

The social media bill passed with a veto proof majority, but DeSantis still vetoed it.

And appears to have worked. People who call themselves free market ideoligist had no problem with it because the directive came from party leaders.

Motives don't matter. We only have like 5 minutes left to save the planet from irreversible plagues of mosquitoes and such. And it can still be produced and refined elsewhere. I am sure China plans to jump right on it. They have a billion bellies a day to fill.

BTW, EVs are infinitely dirtier than hybrids and ICE vehicles when you account for the entire manufacturing process. I work in the industry. The lie that EVs are green simply disregard everything except the lack of gas.

Hybrids and plug-in hybrids are the future. Pure EVs need a major tech jump before they’re viable for the mass market. Infrastructure, logistics, cost and cold weather are a massive hurdle.

The major negative I see in DeSantis is his belief that the best way to change things he doesn't like is to use legislation. He overuses it. Personally I don't think imitation meat is healthy but neither are candy bars.

It never ceases to amaze me how the right coddles up to special interests. The GOP is truly the party of hypocrisy.
