Here's what happened when evidence of wrongdoing by Sen. Menendez was revealed.

Over half of US Democratic senators call for Menendez's resignation
https://www.reuters.com/world/us/us...6 (Reuters),from three New Jersey businessmen.

The four time criminally indicted, twice impeached, sexual abuser has the support of virtually the entire POT congressional caucus. Why? Because not doing so is a political death sentence with The Following.

Are Trump supporters still playing make-believe that Trump is the first person in US history to have a gag order?

He refused to answer because the trial is currently underway.

ANY answer he gave could have been a violation.

Besides, wasn't it Trump who invoked the 5th about 450 times in depositions with the NY AG?

    Criminal contempt of court!

A 2 cent lawyer might make that remark. One who doesn't know that it has to cause DAMAGE.

Fake News. Trump wasn't under indictment when he moved into the White House.

Fake News. He was asked if he KNOWINGLY committed any crimes in the pursuit of Trump and he refused to answer stating that to answer could incriminate him.

YOURS is not true. Trump has been convicted of criminal contempt of court. Therefore, he is a convicted criminal.

Even if you believe the nonsense Trump wasn't responsible for the attack on the Capital, there is no escaping accountability for not immediately calling it off. As he sat in the WH dining room watching the chaos on TV he must have been holding out hope the insurrection he plotted would succeed.

yep. And senators like Al Franken were forced to resign and didn't even break any laws. Hot off the press- US Democratic Congressman Cuellar now indicted. I don't see the right screaming 'lawfare' or '2-tier justice'

It's not illegal for your attorney to pay a legal expense on your behalf and then bill you for it.

It is when you falsify business records about it to hide what the payment was actually for.

He was, at the very least, pleasuring himself watching his goons attacking outnumbered police for hours, ignoring the pleas of aides, advisers, family members, media enablers, and others.

His most abject lickspittles have been unable to concoct anything to support an alternative - such as he was immersed in his daily zumba/colonic irrigation ritual

What should the business record have said to make it legal? It was a legal expense. It was documented as a "legal expense." What crime is committed by calling a legal expense a legal expense?

It was listed as RETAINER which is far different from LEGAL EXPENSE

So you agree, it should have been recorded as a legal expense, which it was. And just like that you agree with Trump and believe this Bragg prosecution is a joke. Thanks for playing. This is why legal experts are looking at this case against Trump scratching their heads.

I have a friend who is one of the most apolitical people I know. he's socially very liberal and fiscally pretty conservative. But he made a good point. He said he wants Trump to win (he voted for Biden in 2020, and third party in 2016) because he wants to see the loud mouthed Trump haters go the way the Martians went when exposed to country music in "Mars Attacks"
