Notice how our house radicalized extreme lefties have deflected this to Russia and are ignoring the OP that their side potentially backs Iran in a conflict with the US?

This is the game they collectively play to avoid actually defending and justifying their BS ideological values.

You seem to be unaware of one fact of human nature. All people do not want to work together- and many cannot. Only the stable, honorable people can do that. The rest see "working together" as you doing it their way, and the all have different "ways". Go to a coral reef, and you see hundreds of species in the same area-, all thriving. But you also see these species relating to their own kind. The trick is that they don't demand others be like they are, don't dictate lifestyles or values- and every single living thing there is genetically equipped to be what it is, and do it well. But not equipped to be anything else. So creatures whose differences arent' compatible get along in the same proximity- by minding their own business.

So they have a harmony that's based around living in close proximity, and getting along- by not forcing others to be what they think they should be. Humans could do that but we also have the powers of imagination, which are both a huge asset and a great responsibility. It gives us the power to imagine and invent magical things- but also the power to imagine we are what we are not and do stupid things.

The millions of species in nature have thrived for millions of years. Without governments, religions, lawyers and all the crap humans invent to try to control themselves. What's more, they have done this without poisoning the earth, using up all its natural resources. We humans have the worst record in earth's history of getting along with our own species. The worst record for harming other species. For harming the environment, and everything valuable. We will most likely be the first species ever to be totally responsible for it's own extinction.

Before we can all live in the same world in harmony, we have to learn to live that way individually- not be bent on destroying or dominating everything we don't agree with. I don't see that happening anytime soon.
We can form alliances with those who wish to form alliances- but forcing anyone to our way of thinking so we will be more comfortable in our heads seem to ensure instability and chaos. Maybe- we all need to try minding our own business, not interfering with any others unless they seek to do us harm.

Russia fell apart internally. American leadership could have done a better job but there were just too many power factions for the country to unify. Ultimately it was the KGB that won.

There's a quote variously attributed to Shera Starr or to David Attenborough – that goes as follows:

"If you collect 100 black ants and 100 fire ants and put them in a glass jar, nothing will happen. But if you take the jar, shake it violently and leave it on the table, the ants will start killing each other. Reds believe that black is the enemy, while black believes that red is the enemy, when the real enemy is the person who shook the jar. The same is true in society. Men vs. Women, Black vs. White, Faith vs. Science, Young vs Old etc.

Red ants and black ants aren't necessarily enemies. They're separate groups with separate goals, but it's possible to live in mutual tolerance. But shake that jar, and suddenly the red ants think the blank ants are the enemy, and the black ants think the red ants are the enemy. In reality, of course, the real enemy is the one shaking the jar.

Before we fight each other, we must ask ourselves: Who's shaking the jar?"

It used to be we could tolerate each other. Even if we disagreed on issues, we could "agree to disagree." Now we can't even join families for holidays without descending into violent bickering. The left hates the right, and the right hates the left. The chasm in our nation grows wider by the hour. Moderation is no longer possible; neutral people are forced to choose sides.

There are people intentionally promoting chaos and violence in America. It makes no difference why.

Why actually matters a great deal, agitators have a goal and we need to know what it is so we can counter it.
