    Did I call it or what? The left is getting their panties in a twist over something they have no idea what the guy was thinking or trying to express. And why does the left equate what they think are monkey noises with blacks, which I think is telling. If anything, the guy should have made elephant noises.

    Now the left is going to take this one incident, define it in a way that benefits them and play the race card against anyone anywhere who is not pro terrorism all while wanting death to Israel. Nah, no hypocrisy or double standards there at all.

    No I think it is their choice who they back in this war. As misguided as you or I think that may be, it is their right. The guy had a right to make monkey noises, but he was outed and will suffer the consequences as will the college protestors. They are all choices they made, and in a country where free speech is everything, they are allowed to say what they want, but they are not free from the repercussions of that speech.

    What should happen to the guy who insulted Donalds? That guy is a lecturer at Georgetown.

    Identity of Agitator Who Called Byron Donalds 'Uncle Tom' at GWU Is Revealed, and It Explains Quite a Bit

    During his visit, Donalds was interrupted by an older pro-Hamas protester who proceeded to yell at Donalds and call him a "race traitor" and "Uncle Tom" over his support of Israel and his stand against antisemitism.

    While it's not uncommon to see older students going to college, Donalds' comment ended up being prescient, because as it turns out, the man has now been identified, not as a GWU student but as a Georgetown adjunct lecturer with a history of activism against and hatred towards Israel:

    There's this old rule my father told me- that if you want to be respected, act respectably and respect others.
    This however did not keep my father from punching a loudmouth jackass that was insulting him in the nose. Hard. Dad didn't violate the rule; he taught the lesson of consequences for your actions to the jackass- who never crossed the line again. Some people don't learn until consequences do the teaching.

    You are ok with some protestors being kicked out of colleges due to their opposition to Israel's actions against the Palestinians? They aren't only going to punish those who say things you don't like, they are also going to punish those who say things you like.

    Let me see if I have got the facts correct on this. There was a protest in which several hundred leftists adopted values of the National Socialist Party of Germany in Mississippi in that they argue for the death of Jewish people. A few dozen counter protestors emerged and heated words ensued. A single congressman who nobody has ever heard of from backwater Mississippi praised the fact that the counter protestors sang the national anthem. Later on, someone uncovered a tape of someone making reprehensibly racist noises and gestures at one of the people who held National Socialist views. The video happened after the fact and there was no evidence that the unknown politician actually knew anything of a racist nature (well, other than calling for the extermination of the Jews) occurred. An article was written up as a press story by the Huffington Post which does not demand confirmation of facts by its authors it chooses to publish with misleading headlines. Therefore all Republicans are racists? Is that what we are supposed to conclude?

    Excuse me if I fail to get worked up about this. I am not sure how a reprehensibly racist comment or gesture is even a fraction as bad as supporting those who are supporting the death of all Jews. How did perspective get so buggered up?

    Did he? Please reread the article. His praise was that the counter protestors sang the Star Spangled Banner. Did he even know about the monkey nonsense? The article does not say that. That part was filled in by the desire of the reader to want it to be true. You didn't say all republicans are racists, but did your belief that they are racists lead you to fill in the gaps and blanks that were not there? Did the Huffington Post publish the article with the hopes that its readers who willfully filled in the blanks would come to that conclusion based upon misleading headlines? And finally, if you did not believe that republicans as a whole were racists, then why create a thread about some obscure state representative in Mississippi?
