Judge and left can blame no one but themselves, Americans are born being told everyone get's a fair trial and they certainly don't like every f'ing gag order and motion this judge goes with the prosecution. His whole job is to ensure the DEFENDENT gets a fair trial period.

Again, we didn't know he would be the nominee when this process was set in motion, so it can't be for the purpose of choosing the winner of the election. Revenge on a repugnant character for dastardly deeds? That would be closer. Maybe justice is just ice. And in terms of incapacitation (a worthier purpose than revenge/justice), maybe they didn't know whether he would run for office again but wanted voters to know he's a criminal if he did. It would be fair to say a regular citizen may have normally gotten away with the same crimes due to less scrutiny on them. But this disadvantage is shared by prominent democrats such as the Clintons - they are less likely to get away with things because republicans hound them.... maybe there's a reason no sane person seems to run for office.
