The goal is to hold him accountable for his actions. Same as every other criminal defendant. No more, no less.

"Ordered to hate Trump"???? ordered by whom?? That makes NO logical sense at all, Steve. In fact...... don't think anyone really "hats" Trump. but he is to be pitied as the chap has serious problems and doe snot have a clue about them. (no personal insight or awareness as he is defended by projection and other defense mechanisms ) The man has never been a well adjusted person. He also has never been truly successful at anything. He is all smoke and mirrors. There is a difference in how people support their candidate. Trumpians are almost fanatical about him. Biden supporters are realistic and don't ignore his liabilities, but consider his assets better than anything that Trump has to offer. And Biden does not have a big loud mouth ,that is crass , cruel and tactless.
Instead of telling us about his policy ideas and details of same..........he spends his time on camera trashing the legal system and anyone that offended him. If he can't handle the situation he created for himself......he is not fit for office.

exactly.!! In fact what does it say about the nation itself?? Seems the Trump "effect" has literally changed a culture. eg: going to jail is a good thing for a candidate for POTUS. A bizarre mentality indeed.
That is the power of sociopathic leaders.

His followers don't seem to get that. They hold Trump to an exceptional standard where he does snot need to be held to account. NO MATTER WHAT HE DOES OR SAYS, they have an excuse for it.

It's not so much the 'going to jail,' but that is bad enough. It is the complete/contumelious disregard for respect of a Court Order which is the stand out, per se.

Add on top of that....would not an innocent man facing Trial totally co-operate with the system, thereby demonstrating their willingness to be law abiding?

Does the reverse suggest that it is a person who is totally NOT law abiding who does not accept they are bound by the judicial process/protocols?

exactly. It is the ultimate CON of a system, a nation and its peple. Running for POTUS to escape legal problems he created for himself.
Does not get more sociopathic than that.

an innocent person would not be in trump's position and would certainly NOT behave like a spoilt brat , showing no respect for the legal system, the judge etc.. His conduct is beyond deplorable. The judge is handling him very well . HE is the "hero" in this situation as he has his hands full with this bloke.
What you are describing is a psychopath/ sociopath. ( Trump) The law is for others , not him. In his sick mind he is exceptional, and above others and can get away with whatever he wants.
As you know sociopaths are dangerous. in the most devious ways . They are the true "wolf in sheep's clothing"...His cruelty is part of his pathology. He could care less about anyone else ......... unless they are of use to him. People are disposable to him.

    Nonsense…

The judge is an officer of the court. His only allegiance is to the law and to the protocols surrounding its implementation.

If the cold, dispassionate analysis of Joe Schmo’s actions and statements was found to be in violation of contempt of court, Mr Schmo could expect to find himself jailed as a result.

The Stain is no different to Mr Schmo. The judge should focus on the law and avoid any political considerations…

    Whatabout, Whatabout, Whatabout...:bored:
    Anyway, back ON-TOPIC:
    1) I agree with those who think that Trump is going to push it as far as he can and ignore the warnings and see if the judge will actually jail him...
    Also:
    2) Trump's vote is baked-in, whether or not he ia a "martyr"...
He won't gain or lose a vote even if he goes to jail...

Yeah, that's not what these trials are about. It's all about keeping Trump out of office. Your inability to recognize that all defendants are innocent until proven guilty proves my point.

    I do recognize that.

Your inability to recognize that once they are convicted, they are criminals, is the problem.

Yes, that is another one. We really should put a stop to it. It is hurting the justice system.

Yes, it elections don't work, depend on the law and the corruptness that goes along with that as well. The founders wanted elections to be the way leaders are selected. Work with that. Find a candidate that can beat Trump.

That is a funny new twist. If he didn't run for office, none of these prosecutions would have happened.

Trump has never been convicted of a crime. Therefore he is not a criminal. Stop whining and get a new candidate that can beat him in an election.

We won't find out but Trump's poll numbers will increase quickly if they jail him. That may not help his campaign but it certainly won't hurt it.

Yes both the election board and DOJ investigated it and said there was no crime. Do you have some other point?
