Daniels says she did documentary "to get the truth out"


Stormy Daniels says she was not paid to appear or participate in her documentary, called "Stormy."

But the production company paid her $125,000 for the licensing rights to her material and book. She said she's been paid $100,000 so far.

Daniels said she started on the documentary in 2018 before she was subpoenaed in this case.

When asked why she did the documentary, she said, "To get the truth out, same as the book." She adds, "An updated account."

To note: Trump's team had subpoenaed NBC and Daniels in connection with the documentary. It was released on March 18, one week before the original start date of this trial. The judge quashed the subpoenas.

Off the top of my head, I think it's a little different than that. I think Trump did pay from his own funds, but because there is a limit on campaign donations and this payment is considered a campaign donation, it makes it illegal.

And Trump was implicated in Cohen's charges and guilty plea: "On June 16, 2015, Individual-1 began his presidential campaign."
I think this is the core of the charges Bragg brought. Trump was implicated on the conspiracy that Cohen plead guilty to. That is all it takes according to NY law.

All irrelevant to a business records case. Whether Stormy's story is fabricated fiction or every word from Stormy is accurate is simply irrelevant. The Trump Tower Doorman's story that Trump fathered a child with the housekeeper was likely a complete fabrication, and he was paid in an NDA to keep his fabricated story to himself. Simply no relevance.

 

So? That's not election interference.

Court officers tell reporters they can no longer use binoculars

Since the start of Trump’s criminal trial, reporters, courtroom sketch artists and legal analysts have been using binoculars to get a better look at people in the courtroom since cameras are not allowed.

The defense put up an exhibit on the screens in the courtroom, but Judge Merchan told them to remove it.

"Take that down, please. Take it down, take it down," Merchan said.

The judge called for a sidebar, seemingly upset about what was displayed on the screens. It wasn't immediately clear what the exhibit showed.
