I have never understood why some people openly hate Jews. And I never understood why some people make fun of Jews. I definitely never understood why some people want to kill Jews. So, if there's someone on the PF who fits into one of the above categories I would appreciate they enlighten me. I would really like to know their thinking.
Maybe you shouldn't put all Jews in one basket. It appears the dislike is largely of Ashkenazi Jews and not, Hebrew Israelites, Beta or Sephardi. This is largely due to the treatment of palestinians over the course of the last 70 plus years, committed by Ashkenazi. The Ashkenazi are the tribe that are taking the brunt of world discontent as they are the face of modern Israel, by choice and make up the bulk of the IDF and Knesset.
Thanks for your reply. I don't understand the groups of Jews nor do I want to. And I mean no disrespect. Did Hitler kill Jews due to their treatment of Palestinias?
I appreciate your honesty in wanting to remain ignorant about the details of Jewish tribes. Ignorance is bliss, no doubt. Sadly, it weakens credibility in public dialogue, no matter the topic. I strongly agree with the sentiment of your original post here. I never realized that some people dislike Jews until I was maybe 23 years old. No hatred of Jews was ever expressed by parents or friends in my youth. Now I understand that many societies throughout history have disliked and mistrusted Jews. I accept that there must be a reason for it, and knowledge of Israel and its modern day inception helps in that understanding. The various tribes mentioned by Esau provide insight, as does the interview with Harold Rosenthal back in the 70s. Netanyahu and his cabinet must come from the Ashkenazi, for during his reign of terror, which includes 911 and today's genocide, he does the work of Satan.
Hitler killed all Jews because he didn’t have @Esau to point out the differences and how some groups of Jews are worthy of genocide while others are not. Now that we have Esau to let the Jew beaters and killers of the world know this, I’m sure they’ll start asking important questions to each Jew they run down before going about the task of killing and beating the “right ones”
The world is full of mysteries. Like why the IDF is fine with starving Palestinians to death. The UN says there’s ‘full-blown famine’ in northern Gaza. What does that mean? https://apnews.com/article/gaza-fam...el-hamas-war-476941bf2dc259f85a706408b2a665ff
The MOST anti-Jew stuff I remember while growing up is hearing jokes geared towards the stereotype of them being frugal. (that's about it) It wasn't this bad since Hitler (but the left brought it back in style in 2024) STRANGE TIMES THESE ARE
I've debated multiple anti-semitic righties on this forum, up to and including Holocaust deniers. I've faced antisemitism from the right for decades. Your blind eye is not a comfort.
Not so strange when you think about it. When leftwingers gain complete control, bad things often happen after. For instance: Nazi Germany, Joseph Stalin's Russia, Cuba, Panama, fascist Italy, and the list goes on and on. I'm not sure why violence always seems to accompany left wing governments, but if I had to guess it would the rhetoric used to unite them and the overall lower iq among the base.
Just google the history of antisemitism. There is lots of material online. You could also start with https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_antisemitism The root of their problem is their version of monotheism. Monotheism is a problem because if there is only one God, and that God is the God of the Israelites, and the Israelites are God's chosen people, then other people's God(s) are not the true God, and other people are not chosen people. This seems likely to cause problems with other ethnic groups. Polytheism is much better, since then each ethnic group can have its own god. They can argue about the relative merits of the various gods, but there is no exclusivity.
Biggest problem, IMO, is they share the same god as the other two major religions of Abraham (Jews, Christians, Muslims) but they don't share the same "Major" prophet. So Abraham had many children, but god promised him that his child would one day rule all the people under the stars (along those lines). Another one of Abrahams sons was promised the same thing from god, so now we have two of Abraham sons promised to rule. One son represents Muslims, the other son represents Jews. So I think they will never get along.
then theres christians, who believe jesus will rule, which means its a three-way ding dong in the ring.
ppl that cannot discuss the topic generally resort to accusing the left or right. a finger pointing game rather that honest dialogue.
It seems that contemporary Jews are primarily descendants of the tribes of Judah, Benjamin and part of Levi which made up the Kingdom of Judea. The other descendants of Jacob in the Kingdom of Israel were mostly assimilated, except for the Samaritans. Jacob was one of many grandchildren of Abraham, and obtained his "birthright" over Esau via nefarious means. Esau was the patriarch of the Edomites. Jacob's father Isaac was the brother of Ishmael. Ishmael is the patriarch of the Arabs. Besides which there another six sons of Abraham by Keturah. So Abraham had a lot of descendants, of which the Jews are a small part. Although Christianity and Islam started among Semitic people, neither is ethnic in nature. They have the monotheistic defect that neither are tolerant of worshippers other Gods.
Yes the two big ones being Isaac and Ishmael. Both promised from God to rule albeit in slightly different ways
