Do you have any citations at all for your "facts"? Or do you just want to claim things without backing them up at all? Oh, is that all? (oh, and supplying Russia with aid and arms so it was able to fight Germany...but go ahead and ignore that because it doesn't suit your crap) Yes, of course. We fought the Japanese AND the Germans. And our money and supplies kept the entire allied war effort alive. But you believe what you like, Chuck. Did you not know that Detroit was invaded and taken by the British in July of 1812? Or that the British moved 11,000 troops by way of Lake Champlain into New York in 1814? I guess you did not learn everything in your Canadian schools.
I'll only respond to this, yes, but that was after american forces invaded canada america invaded both times..
dont forget about the U.S trying to make quebec and maritime provinces american states in the U.S revolutionary war...but hey that was an epic fail on the U.Ss part
Oh...I thought you said that Canada, or what was Britain at the time, NEVER invaded the US. With a bit of research it turns out they did, on more than just one occasion.
Yes, I have not been hypocritical enough to pretend that the U.S. is always right (though it doesn't seem to bother you to claim that Canada has never been wrong). But since all of the bed wetting British loyalists were chased north into Canada after our revolution, the U.S. was stung by Canadian support of hostile Indian tribes and English ships raiding our maritime navy. So the attacks were seen as a way to stop England from messing with us. I'm sure you understand.
Who the hell cares?? Canada is a nice place and all but really not that important. The perception cited in the article that Canada is not very important to US interests is absolutely true. They have some good Beer some good Hockey teams and legalized prostitution but beyond that Canada has little to offer therefore it is irrelevant whether the average US student can name their capitol. Nor is this any reflection one way or the other on US education. BTW no where in this article does it mention how many Canadian students can name the seat of the U.S. Capitol.
Canada did nothing to the U.S except be a British colony..and for that we got attacked twice by a bunch of yankee rednecks who then got royally (*)(*)(*)(*)ed in the ass and humiliated so badly that centuries later american revisionists try to cover up their epic fail by teaching their (*)(*)(*)(*)ed up opinion of what happened which is normally U.S won
Canadians don't even know very much about Canada, so forget about what they know about the US, it can't be very much. Hell, most Canadians think that they elect their Prime Minister. Three-fourths of them don't even know who the Canadian head of state is and 84% of Canadians don't know who they fought against in WWI. http://www.ipsos-na.com/news-polls/pressrelease.aspx?id=4208 http://www.ipsos-na.com/news-polls/pressrelease.aspx?id=4124
meh, doesn't matter, canadians dont know (*)(*)(*)(*) about their government but they score higher than the US in everything else
Canadians don't really need to know about their government until they are groped in Canadian airports, then the government will get to know about Canadians.
I thought that was the US. Isn't it why they maintain an interest in the Middle East? And everywhere else.............................
hmmm having alot of valuable resources next to a country with a large population and the greatest military in the world and we should bow down to you. you better sell us oil at a fair price.
The US does not have enough domestic oil to feed it's own economy yes this is true and yes this is why the U.S maintains interests overseas. DUH. The point is Canada is not about to become some future oil producing region they have no such untapped resources.
Like what? Military? Colleges? Sports? Relevance? The only thing I'm jealous of in Canada being a former hockey player is the hockey community.
It is not you personally. I simply see the same line used over and over again. And it is always used by people who hate everything outside the borders due to a lack of understanding of how the world works.
