Not really. The people who want to save the country from the aforementioned Washingtonians are taking over the Republican party as we speak. If not, why have elections? Why try?
Yes, really. There is no one taking over any party. Americans aren't that stupid. Because there are other methods of democracy that have proven more diverse and stable.
Is this where you tell us you can manage 300,000,000 people if they only give up what the have and follow people who have accomplished nothing? Which culturally and racially closed small pond are you referring to?
Ronald Reagan on "Compromise". "When I began entering into the give and take of legislative bargaining in Sacramento, a lot of the most radical conservatives who had supported me during the election didn't like it. "Compromise" was a dirty word to them and they wouldn't face the fact that we couldn't get all of what we wanted today. They wanted all or nothing and they wanted it all at once. If you don't get it all, some said, don't take anything. "I'd learned while negotiating union contracts that you seldom got everything you asked for. And I agreed with FDR, who said in 1933: 'I have no expectations of making a hit every time I come to bat. What I seek is the highest possible batting average.' "If you got seventy-five or eighty percent of what you were asking for, I say, you take it and fight for the rest later, and that's what I told these radical conservatives who never got used to it."~ http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/960104/posts ~ The Reagan Legacy: willingness to compromise ~ http://www.boston.com/bostonglobe/editorial_opinion/blogs/the_angle/2011/02/what_reagans_di.html ~ `
It's where you learn to diversify your political culture and escape the single-member district plurality that narrows ideas, forces entitlements, and restricts economies to primarily Keynesian tactics.
The sooner America returns to its roots and rejects central planning, the sooner it returns to dominating every economic metric again.
Not really. There's no reason to believe that America will ever return to the level of primacy it once had, barring another world war. The main reason we ever had the primacy we did was because of that war. All of our economic peers were recovering from the devastation of war, while the developing world was too primitive to be serious competition. Now that much of the developing world is actually more advanced and our peers haven't had to deal with a major war for several decades, the global market doesn't really allow for this sort of primacy anymore. The only country likely to experience something similar to America's primacy in the near future is China, but even their case is quite different from ours due to the fact that there is still a pretty big divide in quality of life between urban citizens and rural ones. America could end all of its central planning and quickly resolve a lot of its debt, but it would lose virtually all of its middle class, and the overall standard of living would drop considerably. Granted, our standard of living is set to drop regardless of what course we take.
Excellent question. This is perhaps a great demonstration of what happens when predictions are made based on desire rather than reality.
these rich guys will not end our new socialist government, trump will ruin all the democrats progress if elected we have to redestribute trumps wealth before he gets into office.
