    Would you also call them extremely rare in the Chinese Air Force? I would.

    Most of China's fighters are Mig 21 knockoffs which are no match for modern day fighter jets.

    That is one of the points Russ Martin mades in his book "Break OUt" that the Chinese were poorly equipted, wearing tennis shoes in the snow of the Korean Winter and carried little food.

    With respect, the Opium Wars ended over 150 years ago.

    I would hardly call that anything to do with remotely recent Chinese trade history.

    Strategery[sic]! The plan was hold out at all costs until it started snowing...and it worked! Not to mention urban warfare took the bite out of the Nazi's blitzkrieg.

    The Germans may have been able to defeat Russia if Hitler wasn't crazy and insistent on keeping the fight in Stalingrad.

    china has about few hundreds j-10 and j-11(su27 mod) which is consider equal to F-16 later block fighter. also alot old of J8/j7 has update its electronic, sensor, fire control etc to make them more better fighter. so no, China's fighters are not Mig 21 knockoffs.

    also to penetrate chinese air defense is not an easy task either.

    i agree #'s of people is no much for technological superior US military.

    No way China will build an army. No need to fear and cower. It will be cyber war if any war is waged. They know that is the only way they can wage war without spending several hundered trillions to maintain an army of 200 million.

    Fearful cowards read too much into CCR's Run Through the Jungle song.
    Move into the 21st centry, this is 2011, not 1940.

    Not if our Government & the dollar Collapses and there are Los Angeles 92 type riots in 37 large Cities in 11 states and the Yellowstone caldera blows and there is a 9.4 Earthquake in San Franpsycho and someone opens a Can of Sunshine in San Pedro & San diego ... They (The Chinese could land 4 million troops on west coast unopposed in less than 2 weeks (Two Weeks :shock:)
