America is just another lap dog for Briton just the same as New Zealand is.

Democracy isn't freedom, it's just a bunch of privilege wealthy folk who tell the general public what to do because they win campaigns on the most part due to having large foreign and corporate funding.

That's because you such have such a lousy system of what no-one in a real democracy recognises as democracy.

America is not the leader of the free world, as we have our own undermining of freedom taking place from the inside out.

The idea that we were the leader of the free world is where we have gone awry. It is not our responsibility to provide freedom to anyone. You have got to want it for yourself. Our GREAT country is just that because we have accepted people from all countries who wanted freedom to become something they might not have been able to become in their own country. I know people are going to start poking at this comment, but despite our problems we have managed to do something no other nation has done.

As for America's role in assisting other countries and the desire of non-Americans to take shots at us, I'll have you know there are Billions of Dollars in tax payer money that goes to the U.N. and foreign aid each year. To not be liked by people abroad, we might as well hang on to the funds. We could us it at home.

Democracy was made up by Tories after the transparency downfall of the royal monarchy. This was to keep England in continuous control of there previous colonies.

Doesn't it strike you as odd such a tiny island is one of the wealthiest countries in the world, wealthier than some countries that are 100 times bigger in mass.

In reality Democracy is just as controlling as Communism but not in such a obvious and recognizable state.

    Here it is:

People in the know admit that America is no longer the land of the free. It has been under consistent attack from left/right infiltration since the establishment of the federal reserve, operated basically completely independent of any responsibility to the nation or its citizens.

We recognize that PC anti-freedom of speech from the left is an assault on our liberties, plus every denial of obvious constitutional phrase and amendment which seeks to protect the citizens from tyranny.

Peoples from other nations scoffing at constitutionalism is aimed in the wrong direction. Everything you hear from the American mainstream media and probably most other media outlets is dealt to you straight from the hand of corporatism. Yes, the corporates have merged up with the government, so why then are the progressives so adamant to defend the fascist government?

Liberty in this country is in the hands of the classic liberals/libertarians. All of the rest are completely in the fog of the corporate/state media and/or their perceived gov't benefits.

Correct. This has been so for a century.

When will you do anything about it?

I could not find the other Awryly post about hanging, so I will post here instead:

There is a much more pragmatic method than hanging. It involves a licensed surgeon to perform a partial frontal lobotomy on the guilty person, followed by classical conditioning using the pavlovian method. The result is a docile, low IQ human, suitable for minimal labor for small business owners who are not able to afford the more advanced android robotic laborers that large corporations are using.

Similar to how Sparta lead the Greeks, I think is how the United States lead the free world.

Everyone is gayer. This! Is! America!

Seriously, though. What we're calling "the free world" is basically a big bunch of states with common interests, and America provides much of the muscle and little of the culture to that group. That's sort of like the Spartans, isn't it?

So say the Athenians. Who lost to the muscle-men.

The Yanks learnt their lessons well. There is no point in pus.sy-footing with a culture.

All you need are really big guns and Hollywood to anaesthetise the masses.

Ahh. From Canada it's that hard to pick the difference?

Let me help you. We have a democracy, albeit flawed. The US is still struggling to find its way out of a dictatorship.

How's it goin' for ya in the frozen north?
