I think in June 2008, Crude Oil was $147 per barrel.

Today Crude Oil is $83 per barrel.

Why is Gasoline 100% higher when international crude oil price have fallen 50%?

Today Gasoline must be $2 per gallon because international crude oil price have fallen 50%.

    Reply to me:

Obama raised the price to get you to buy an electric from government motors. You got the communism you voted for.

There is definately some manipulation going on in gasoline price and crude oil price.

Crude Oil must be $40 per barrel in December 2008. In september 2008, world financial markets started crashing when oil reached $147 per barrel.

World oil production for year 2010 was 30 billions barrels.

    http://people.hofstra.edu/geotrans/eng/ch5en/appl5en/worldoilreservesevol.html

Some 7 billion tonnes of coal is produced worldwide per year.

    http://www.worldcoal.org/coal/coal-mining/

Experts say there will be 1 billion automobiles/vehicles in the world by year 2020.

There are 1,400 Giant Boeing 747 planes flying all over the world and a 747 plane burns some 65,000 gallons fuel everyday.

My calculations says 19 Billion barrels oil is consumed every year by planes, ships, boats/yachts. This includes military and commercial planes and ships.

    Post from FightTheFuture:

Only 2 billion bushels of corn are being exported, and 5 billion being burned. There is enough corn being burned in the US to feed 1 Billion people every year.

And burning ethanol is for what exactly? For each gallon of ethanol produced, one gallon of petroleum is consumed for distillation, transport, fertilizer, etc.

Field corn has 2400 calories per pound. 58 lbs per bushel = 139,200 cal per bushel. 2000 cal per day required per person.

1 bushel feeds one person for 70 days. need 5.2 bushels per year per person

USDA estimates for the marketing year of 2010-2011, 4.9 billion bushels of corn will be used for ethanol production

    4.9 billion/5.2 = 942,307,692 people.

O Baby O Baby everything you need.

    Why worry?

    Just wait for January 2013.

    $2.00 a gallon.

A Tea Party Republican has promised it.

All is right in the world.

    What a FAIL THREAD!

A Obama-hater TRYING to blame Obama for the fact that gas prices have risen despite the price of oil FALLING! TALKING TO HIMSELF!

O, yeah! That's Obama's fault, all right! He put a gun to the head of the oil companies and said "Raise yo' gas prices, Honkies!"

Could ANYTHING be MORE pathetic than the wacky fantasy world of the Right Wing?

People always blame the President. Get used to it. You'll blame Romney starting in January for everything from Obama's high employment numbers to the Afghanistan war dead to the lack of a space shuttle to why you ain't getting no nookie.

When established in 1978 the U.S. Department of Energy was created to combat the rising gas prices. Today, they have failed 100%... yet they have made it terribly expensive with regulations and fees to create virtually any type of energy. Can we just get rid of the D.O.E.?

Their charter was to get America off of foreign oil in 20 years. Yeah. Another worthless bureaucracy set up by the Carter Administration to grow government.

Don't worry about that last part. Liberals have plenty of bicurious transsexual dating websites out there.

Thanks to New Source Review (40 CFR 52.21) refineries have not been able to be replaced or reserve capacity added. So fifty-year-old refineries have to run flat-out to meet demand, and when any have an upset you have instant shortages because there is no reserve to take up the slack.

    Thanks, EPA.

The EPA has NOTHING to do with it.

There are refineries for sale that no one will buy because the oil companies use the refineries as pawns in their price squeeze games, and oil is going to be pried out of reach. Also, we wil be soon importing gasoline instead of oil.

If a company can't sell an EXISTING refinery, why would ANYONE build a NEW one?

Refineries have to be sold at a BIG DISCOUNT, because HUGE increases int he price of oil means refineries won't be able to sell gasoline and other products.
