Libya holds more than $6bn in gold reserves, most of it in bullion and bars, ok where is it ,i heard its gone? did nato take it transported it to the imf reserve..
well heres a old link saying they had 6 billion in gold bars bullion and the IMF was really keeping a eye on it in that artical www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-12824137
Those ships that went in and out of Libya to Africa would be the ideal transport for gold. It was taken out over 3 months ago, when NATO stepped up the bombs. Kadaffi knows that he was in a losing situation. Most of the Libyans around the compound have not seen Omar in a few months. I suspect he escaped a while ago when his military was defecting. When Omar brought in Mercs from Africa, Omar was on the way out while he still had control of the ports. Omar has buddies in the African Nations, and gold will buy alot of stuff there, and he can cash in to the isreals and jews for profit. It is also likely that the offshore banks that hold the lions share of Libya's revenue from oil will be stolen, as the accounting practices for those types of banks can be very corrupt.
There are a bunch of governments around the world who were very quick to seize and freeze Libyan assets, which are anywhere from $130 billion to in excess of $200 billion (not counting the gold). If they, and in particular the United States and France, are very slow to release these monies to the new government of Libya while pressuring them over their domestic, economic and foreign policy, it will be a nasty confirmation of their motivation in their original interference in the Libyan conflict.
The Battle For Libya Is Almost OverÂ… As Is The Battle For Its 144 Tons Of Gold Zero Hedge Aug 22, 2011 Following a 6 month stalemate in which neither side had attained any advantage, it suddenly took just a few days for the Libyan rebel forces to steamroll unopposed into Tripoli. While we are confident that the political aftermath of this outcome will be very much comparable to what is happening in Egypt right now, many wonder why it is that the Libyan situation has progressed with such speed. Perhaps the answer can be found in the 143.8 tons of gold held by the Libyan Central Bank. Granted it is nowhere near close the 366 tons of gold that Venezuela supposedly has per the WGC, most of it likely held offshore and not being repatriated, the question of where the global gold cartel may find some of the much needed physical to satisfy ChavezÂ’ demands has been now answered. Of course we assume that said gold has not already departed Libya in direction Caracas over the past 6 months. Which, in retrospect, we probably should, as it would explain why gold is now at $1875 and rapidly rising. http://www.infowars.com/the-battle-...er-as-is-the-battle-for-its-144-tons-of-gold/
The looters who are called Rebels probably have it by now. It would be impossible to smuggle it out of Libya everyone involved with the transport would have to be trusted and that is not likely, A bar for each looter that was in on the heist is most likely. This is just the style that you could expect from the Obama thugs.
