Indeed Jonsa...Such a rational thought process in such matters is strangely absent from your stance on the Israel/Palestinian issue....I wonder why?

That's how multiculturalism has traditionally worked--in Canada and the US. Segregated monoculturalism as practiced in some European countries is not genuine multiculturalism.

I think it's more that DonGlock wants to believe what he wants to believe, and he can't let a silly little thing like other people's personal experiences get in the way of that.

....Yes he is. You see, the uncivilized savages are incapable of controlling their own affairs and destiny's because, well, they are pathologically pre-disposed to violence and killing. What is required is the controlling hand of imperialists to keep them in their place. Kiplings notion of the "white man's burden" is alive and well in the 21st century.

Actually, I apply those same rational thought processes to my position on the Israel/Palestine conflict. If you'll notice I am against ultra-zionist religious postions, land theft thru settlements, and some of the fairy tale history of victors, whilst vehemently against Islamists, inept palestinian leadership, arab league collusion. Areas of grey.

You otoh seem to view this in stark black and white. good guys and bad guys. when there aren't good guys and bad guys, just guys trying win.

Illegal occupation of somebody else's land and the policy of collective punishment that this implies is the consequence of the actions of 'bad' people.

There was never a Palestinian people, a Palestinian land, a Palestinian culture or identity, they wanted to become a Arab Apartheid state where Jews were 2nd rate, when the jews declared their own state on their own land the Arabs enrage,d tough luck for the barbarian thugs.

If they dislike occupied land they should have picked the peaceful route instead of the common Arab Jihad route with genocide and aprtheid.

Of course there were Palestinian people.. They were the Arab Christians, Jews and Muslims who have lived in Palestine for thousands of years.

For certain, they weren't European refugees nor did they speak Yiddish

No it does not imply that.

It implies that the occupation remains in place in lieu of a peace treaty. that isn't "illegal". What is "illegal" is annexation of land thru conquest.

No peace treaty=occupation. Peace treaty = Nation of Palestine.

Europe gets a low class of Muslim immigrants. That may be part of the problem with these no go zones.

What no go zones? The one's alluded to don't exist. I've lived in London, Birmingham and Leeds and have gone wherever i've wanted. How come no one in these places knows about these zones?

    Everyone but you, does.

Disregarding the muslim part. Every large city has areas where it is unwise to downright insane to go.

Have you been to Toronto, Vancouver, Paris or London? All large cities, all very low murder and violent crime rates. There are no 'no-go' areas for the police in any of those cities.

Yes have been to all of those cities. DOWNTOWN VANCOUVER, is now a "no-go area. Used to be a terrific city.

And denials are not facts. They are opinions. Since I do not know the bad areas and do not want to know them, I can't point them out.

... is about to be taken over by rich kids. Another once vibrant and interesting neighbourhood that falls prey to urban gentrification.

Downtown Eastside has social and drug problems. It's not a 'no-go' area by any stretch. In fact one of the most popular tourist areas (Gastown) is in the heart of the Eastside.
