Actually... they do as it is not YOUR PARADE since the city picked up some of the bill. Now you either PAY FOR IT ALL YOURSELF or you shut the hell up and everyone can attend.

Get out your checkbooks liberals.... spend some of that taxpayer money you were given!

I woud think a much more direct approach would serve proper notice.

There is a significant Republican/TEA Party base obviously in WI. Parade systematically and strategically towards purchasing non union product/labor.

Money is still being spent. No harm is done to workers and familys. Cash will still move.

    1. The unions are nothing more than wealth siphoners who don't represent anything but the Democrat party.

    2. Then the unions should have stayed out of politics. What do you think they'll do when Republicans show up to protest now? They have no legal standing to omit anyone. They'll send their thugs out in force, liek the scumbags always do.

    3. The union have no right to decide (*)(*)(*)(*) in a municipality. Your assumption to the contrary means nothing.

Not if you are marching up and down your driveway. Go out on the street and I'll march wherever the (*)(*)(*)(*) I want.

You haven't the slightest idea what your talking about. Your're regergitating a right-wing talking point that has no merit whatsoever.

And the list of proofs goes on and on and on and on.

It's about an agenda; nothing more.

I didn't bother reading any of the replies to the OP, but I'm sure I can Imagine. Just typical Left Handed crying going on about Civil Liberties and Freedoms while they do all they can to suppress Liberties and Freedoms of anyone who disagrees with them and their own skewed opinions..

Typical (*)(*)(*)(*)ing hypocrites!!! Liberalism and (non-forced) Public Union membership should be certified diseases..

    Hahaha...suppressing liberties and freedoms.

If Republicans really wanted to express their liberties and freedoms, they could always hold their own Labor Day parade.

Or is this just not that important a holiday for them?

By your logic, the NAACP should be forced to invite the KKK to their events.

Yeah, it's unconstitutional to not invite someone to participate in your parade...you're hilarious!

Just as an update...they backpedaled, fearing the publics backlash to this nonsense.

Repubs will be parading, no senators have to flee again, all is well with the dying unions.

The unions can do what they want if they pay for it.

It's called an analogy and I'm asking the reader to use his critical thinking faculties to consistently apply legal and moral standards between this proposal (barring republicans from a public event)
and other like events...so you might not have the chops required.

Democrats don't care about workers/unions either. I don't know why labor unions think they do?

And using your so called "logic", one could make use of public property and facilities and then ban political opponents at their whims, which is fascistic (“The first truth is that the liberty of a democracy is not safe if the people tolerate the growth of private power (like a certain political party, perhaps?) to a point where it becomes stronger than their democratic state itself. That, in its essence, is fascism — ownership of government by an individual, by a group, or by any other controlling private power.”)— Franklin D. Roosevelt, "Message from the President of the United States Transmitting Recommendations Relative to the Strengthening and Enforcement of Anti-trust Laws

Under this proposal, has the Democratic party grown in power to the degree that it can declare that it's main political rival is not guaranteed constitutional rights to public assembly? Do you have to pass a political litmus test now (in the opinions of the little fascists that have all shown up here) in order to show up at a public holiday parade and enjoy the same privileges and consideration as everyone else?
Would the democrats sit back and allow a Fourth of July parade to march down Main Street where their kind were not allowed to participate because their political opinions were in conflict with constitutional values (which you could make a case for, considering this thread)?

Your little sad analogy is really lacking in many respects but as far as I know, the republican party has not been declared an outlaw paramilitary criminal group, and there is a real difference you fail
to perceive in "inviting" someone to their public events, and banning their participation which is open to everyone else.
It's frightening to see the unashamedly fascistic streak that exists on the left. It's a mile wide and ugly.

Your post is the essence of anti democratic fascism and ignorance, and once again, it totally misstates what I posted and said (so it's dishonest too).
