What utter BS, bin Laden and the Taliban do not have the greater support and are not popular, they are feared. Let me save you some suspense, the local denziens or indigenous population are just trying to get by, and actually prefer the US. Unfortunately the US is not there at their side 24/7, the Taliban/Al Qaeda seize on those away moments and will kill or maim anyone who helps the US/NATO. These people have little choice of they want to survive, they have families they need to care for too, so giving up their lives by fighing means giving up their families' lives.

While we are at it, for the rest of right wingers that continually condemn Muslims, note, Muslims are serving in the US military and the DoD quite honorably
