Obama (and Bush BTW) kept your ungrateful, sorry asses out of a full-blown depression. Not bad for a destructive twit and a community organizer...huh?

I'm the first to admit that Obama has balls of marshmallow. He spends WAY too much effort on trying to appease lunatics on the far right. But if u believe the pure drivel of these ungrateful T-Baggers, you'd think he (*)(*)(*)(*) in their Cornflakes every morning.

NOBODY could have done any better in the partisan atmosphere you Yankees got going. But if the Republicans win the Whitehouse...heaven forbid...they you'll soon hear THEM blaming Obama for their inability to fix things...and they'll blame the Democrats for obstructionism.

All-in-all...I think the basic fact of American politics is...300 million morons...make mud!

Actually it was Bush with a followup by Obama if you believe that TARP saved us from a fate worse than death.

Any president would have done the same so let's not pretend it was Obama or nothing.

How many people with pre-existing conditions have signed up?

" The most glaring problem with this federal program is that it is wholly redundant. Louisiana, like other states, offers its own plan to provide for residents in this situation. The Louisiana Health Plan enrolls roughly 1,700 people in two programs. According to Gil Dupre, CEO of the Louisiana Association of Health Plans, the Louisiana Health Plan has efficiently provided coverage to people with pre-existing conditions and that he has “always wondered who the people were who would take advantage of the federal program.”
Although a reported 821,000 Louisiana residents have some sort of pre-existing conditions, a whopping 31 Louisiana residents have joined the federal plan since it was made available on July 1 until November 1, when the U.S. Department of Human and Health Services last collected statistics. Nationwide, this total “grows” to 8,011 enrollees. While the HHS gives its assurances that coverage under this plan more accurately reflects standard rates than does the typical state plan, the price tag for this federally administered program is $5 billion dollars- quite a sum, considering the relative few participating in it.

A scathing op-ed in the Wall Street Journal from last week depicts just how much of a waste this investment has been. “Literally, one person has signed up out of 647,000 [North Dakota] state residents. Four people have enrolled in West Virginia. Things are better in Minnesota, where Mr. Obama has rescued 15 out of 5.2 million…” How do these inauspicious numbers compare to the HHS’s projections? “…It estimated it would be insuring 375,000 people by now, and as many as 400,000 more every year.” It seems fair to declare that the American taxpayers are not getting their money’s worth on this investment.

Likewise, these figures suggest two things: either the problem of pre-existing condition exclusions has been drastically misrepresented, or the vast majority of Americans with pre-existing conditions are satisfied with their private or state-administered coverage. As well, it absolutely emphasizes another thing: the Obama Administration has once again overestimated the American people’s dependence on the federal government. "

    And at what cost?

This is a rather broad sweeping charge. It's the sort of thing a moron would say. Ironic really.

    You are absolutely correct, DDave!

This fellow, "Red_Carpet", cannot point to one significant accomplishment Barack Obama has made since he has been in office!

Meanwhile, here is a list of his significant failures!

I would have to seriously question the brain power of an individual who rides a presidents nuts who has 9.1% unemployment or worse his whole failure of a carreer.

If you still riding Obama's nuts these days you are clearly just a partisan hack, his record, policies and popularity are all in the gutter for good reason, the man clearly has no clue WTH he is doing

More than 27,000 people have enrolled as of August. That's 27,000 people who were denied healthcare coverage because they have a preexisting medical condition. That's 27,000 people who can now get care that is less-likely to bankrupt them.

Would you rather these people just showed up at the emergency room and the hospital absorbs the entire cost?

The majority of that was either passed on from the previous administration or a result of the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression.

Sorry Toddwv, "toMAYto, toMAHto" doesn't mean anything to me. I did an internet search and came up with "tomato". I doubt that is what you had in mind.

Just edited. You did mean tomato. I'm a bit dense! Still don't make the connection.

You are incorrect. The battle between the "haves" and "have nots" is as old as time itself. The Romans had "Patricians" and "Plebeians." Then there were "Nobels" and "Serfs." The it was "Aristocrats" and the "Bourgeoisie." Need I go on?

    You are correct, OldManOnFire.

As Americans, we are supposed to be a nation of people all with similar needs and goals.

However, do you share the same needs and gaols for our nation as these people?

    You are very correct, Dware!

The liberals in this group give absolutely no consideration at all to the fact that our children and our grandchildren will have to pay for their very selfish acts of living beyond their means!Someone need to take away and cut up Barack Obama's federal credit card!

Liberals want the good life for themselves and not for future generations of young Americans. If we don't cut the growth in entitlement spending, there will be nothing left for future generations of Americans. All of our taxes will go to pay the interest on the gargantuan federal debt! ... If we can turn around the Democrats and get them to adopt a rational spending philosophy instead of the idea that they can spend any amount of money they want with no consequences whatsoever, this will be a victory for all of us who have not yet retired and for future generations of our sons and daughters!

7% of what they predicted, how much less is 27,000 from the millions Obama claimed were demanding this coverage?

Something like 60-70% of voters use the straight party selection. Of those remaining, some percentage of them will select each candidate, but they can't force themselves to vote for the other party. So although YOU don't believe my statement about labeling is true, the fact remains in this example about voters, that a (*)(*)(*)(*)-load of Americans are incapable of anything but voting along party lines...
