Hugh Hewitt on his radio show said today that even if Cain is the nominee, big donors won't back him. Therefore out only 2 choices are Romney and Perry. Note that Hugh is a huge Romney supporter, and even wrote a book on Romney. And he know that Romney crushes Perry head to head. But I'm wondering if there's any truth about this claim he's making. Why won't big donors back Cain, even if he's the nominee. Wondering of anyone has some knowledge about this.
there is no evidence that Romney crushes Perry head to head. If the anti-Romney forces coalesce around one candidate, Romney is defeated.
Understood, just wondering if there's any truth to the idea that Romney and Cain are the only viable choices.
Perry is tossed burnt toast. Willard Romney has flip-flopped every day of his life, and is Mormon. Cain's 999 is all about killing off Medicare and Medicaide. Palin's lookin' F'n hot again, eh?
Well, if true I would say that not being in debt to big money is probably a good thing at this point in time in US history. Look what is has wrought so far...$7 trillion to the banker elite. And, it doesn't appear that Cain needs it. According to one poll he's pulled well ahead of Romney and has spent about a quarter of what ol' Mitt has. But you answer your own question. Hewitt is a Romney man and likely to smear anybody else. Doesn't pass the smell test
