    Right.

So by highlighting the corruption of criminal bankers and speculators, what they are really doing is trying to 'assasinate the American way'.

Is that the American way(sic) then? A nation run by criminal bankers, and protected by their in-the-pocket politicians?

Americans made their own bed in the housing crisis. It was greed of the public that fed the crisis, not the banks though they accepted the legal loans.
If they didn't they would have been sued as all these loans were legal. All of these people did qualify on paper.
All they had to do was say no, that home is too expensive. Instead, they wanted to flip and get over on the system.
I know plenty of people that did it and eventually failed. Family members, friends and co-workers
You can watch plenty of shows on flippers and buying homes to increase the value.
Overall, these are stupid people that saw a quick pay out.
I grew up and live in Nevada; the gambling capital of the world.
The housing crash is very obvious here but growing up here I also knew to limit the risk you take gambling.
I knew the housing crisis was coming due to the price of homes compared to income.
You base your purchases on your income, for anyone to blame anyone other than themselves for this crisis is rediculous.

Looking at the people in the OWS movement, who is paying for thier homes and why do they want to intrude on other communities for a crisis they are not responsible for?
What is wrong with rebuilding your lives with a 8.50 an hour job?
What is wrong with opening a small buisiness from home and slowly working up the ladder.

I have both a job and a small business.
I have worked for less $8.50 an hour and lived on my own within the money I earned from during the explosive growth before finding more success.
These OWS protesters have the midset of a leach, they want things given to them by sucking out of the bloodstream. They really need to learn to depend on self and live the best life they can from what they have.

As I tell patients I deal with in one of my means of earning money, "The natural state of man is homeless, whatever you earn from there is a luxury as these are not the things you are given at birth. So to ever stress about material things in life is a waste of life and breath."

    Doubt it.

A quick read of the history of the French Revolution will inform them as to just how bad it can get when workers lack bread and are invited to "eat cake".

Maybe it's time for a good cleansing...

Not from where I'm sitting. My town just had a rally to support them. Those guys are like superheroes over here.

There is a difference between being poor and being dirty. If you had ever been poor or around the poor you would know that.

Take it all for myself, and screw society, or share it.

That does seem like a tough "business" decision for sure.

    I'll take B.

It's always an opportunity to smack the little buggers down in the name of democracy and freedom.

But only if your guns are big enough.

    Seriously.

Please make a point relating to the true issue, or create a thread about general hygiene.

    Thanks

Talking of the arrogant and haughty, here we have Citibank using the police to trap and arrest people who wanted to close their accounts.

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HBz6MH9ujD4"]NYPD Arrests Protesters For Trying To Close Their Citibank Accounts - YouTube[/ame]

Developing Story: People Arrested for Trying to Close Citibank Accounts

More ridiculous arrests coming out of New York today, as Citibank proves it's just as bad, or even worse than Bank of America in how it treats its customers. Earlier today, about two dozen people formed a queue inside the Citibank building in order to close their accounts as a part of the Occupy Wall Street protests. Instead of allowing them to take their money elsewhere, the genius managers and security people in charge locked them inside and had them arrested.

It's not clear why the people were arrested, but speculation is that when the bank would not allow customers to close their accounts, the customers began to protest. When this happened, that's when the genius managers decided to lock them all in and call the police. Nice work, police, protecting your corporate masters.

The arrests were so contrived that you can't help but laugh in bemusement. One woman who was talking angrily with police outside the building was manhandled by what appears to be a plain clothes officer and dragged inside by about five other officers.

Reports from around the internet are saying that two people who succeeded in closing their account left the bank but were forced back inside by police and security officials. In the video posted online, you can see how one woman was practically carried into the bank by a plain clothes officer, where she and the rest of the bank's customers were subsequently arrested. So, if you were just in the neighborhood, and arrived before these people and closed your account, you'd have been arrested for disorderly conduct, whether you were a part of this protest or not. What the hell is this country coming to when you get arrested for simply asserting your right to do what you want with your own money?

The NYC police department is not doing itself any favors by acting with such force and dishonor towards the people it's supposed to be protecting. Citibank, likewise, isn't going to garner any kind of support among its customer base for refusing to allow customers to withdraw their money.

Corporate greed, a police state, citizens arrested for voicing their opinions. Unfortunately, it looks as if the United States is living proof that '1984' has come to pass.
