I highly suggest you read "The Grand Energy Transition" by Robert Heffner.

Natural gas is much cleaner than other fossil fuels and is much more plentiful (both domestically and around the world), than oil is.

Solar, wind, and other green energy are just not as reliable as oil is currently. Until they are improved upon, natural gas should be used as a transitional fuel for our future of completely renewable energy (.ie: solar, wind, etc...)

If that statement were true, then Obama would have to take the following statements of his off the Whitehouse's website:

Democrat Sierra Club NO-ENERGY Policies.......on display.....why this country is energy (D)ependent.

I would bet money the author uses natural gas to heat his home......powers his home via coal/nuclear......and fills his SUV with gasoline/oil.........

    .....but other people shouldnt......

Natural gas is a pain in the ass to ship. Much cheaper to sell it in country.

Because it is domestic, clean, and much cheaper than any other alternative.

The energy issue from an economic perspective can be explained in a simple manner. The United States currently has the resources and technology necessary to produce fossil fuels domestically. Therefore, in the short-run, we must rely on them. To transition to renewable energy, we must see an increase in resources (capital, entreprenuership, land, and labor), or an increase in technology. These two factors will increase production of renewable energy sources, which will cause a decrease in renewable energy prices, which will increase the quantity demanded.

Use your google. I'm not a scientist. Portfolio's invested heavily in fossil fuels huh?

Shoot pressure and a chemical mix below the water line (because it's too tough to drill through, not to mention the dangers of poisoning the entire underground water supply)...force the pressure as high and deep as it needs to be, until the earth literally CRACKS. (That's what fracking does)
Earth..cracking......earthquakes...No relationship possible there at all huh?
    Okey, dokey, Mr. Bush.

You already said the answer. Clear cutting forest accounts for an area the size of Poland every year. Put a stop to it.

I googled it, found no definitive proof that hydraulic fracturing causes earthquakes. A couple of studies indicate it may cause "micro-quakes" of no consequence.

Perhaps you could enlighten us with a peer reviewed study or two proving hydraulic fracturing causes earthquakes which are any kind of threat to anything. While you're at it, please provide some examples of hydraulic fracturing "poisoning the entire underground water supply".

Or, you could simply continue to make bogus claims and tell people to "use your google". I suspect you will do the latter.

job creation like this is immoral it is similar to the oil boom towns where all the men are causing trouble because they were forced to leave their homes for a paycheck digging for oil

more innovation is needed not dependent on fossil fuel which causes war and pollution

This is part of the problem of global warming. Reforestation is absolutely necessary, but it will not completely suppress the effects of burning fossil fuels.

if we converted our vehicular fleet to CNG, we would no longer have to import any petroleum from the Middle East. it appears there is enough accessible natural gas in shale formations in the US to provide the type of transition period we need as a nation to find other more longer term sources of energy - such as controlled fusion reactors. additionally with the new shale oil fields discovered we may not need to import any petroleum at all outside our friends and neighbors in Canada and Mexico. these are exciting time in the domestic oil and gas industry, and its amusing to watch the anti-oil Left flail about.
