    A soldier on another forum said that while he thinks what they did is disgusting he said that since it's not against the law in the country where they did it that they'll probably get at most a slap on the writst or a couple of weeks in the slammer.

    They should return the same exact punishment. I have no sympathy for pathetic losers like that, and I would gladly administer the punishment.

    I've seen people killing pigs in front of me. He was aiming for the head so he wasn't beating it to the death, he was killing it... Big difference, however more humane would be a knife to the heart.

    We had a guy in our unit stomp a cat to death for no reason. He has since been given an Article 15, months of extra duty, demotion to E-1, and will be chaptered out of the Army within the next 2 weeks.

    So before anyone comes on here and says something about the barbarism of the US military or something just know that we don't condone such behavior from our Soldiers.

    Oh and this was also in a country where I don't believe killing cats is illegal.

    what better way to show our humanity than to beat a helpless sheep to death with a baseball bat... sheep are living breathing creatures with emotions too.. humanity needs to get over itself and realize there is more to life than man. Sheep are far better than us... i could fill a thousand volumes full of reasons why sheep are better, so don't go there.. simply open a history book.

    Not quite, sheep are very valuable resource in those countries and are quite expensive... I find it interesting though that we have a topic about soldiers killing animal but no topic about NATO strike of Pakistan military outpost that left 20 people dead. Are americans so perverted that 20 human lives are less valuable than a sheep?

    I don't know about all that...I mean I love and respect animals as well and would never kill one for pleasure, but I wouldn't exactly classify them as equal to humans let alone superior...

    the soldier has PTSD or post traumatic stress disorder from the war and should get the VA to pay welfare for his rehabilitation

    since no one was hurt this is probably not a crime, people kill cows for food all the time

    Well, they could have killed it in A VARIETY of less barbaric ways.

    A.) Shoot the thing

    B.) lob its head off with a machete

    C.) Stick it in the heart with a bayonet

    D.) about 1000 other ways, considering they are on an army base...

    Also, I would have made a thread on the pakistani`s getting bombed by NATO, but the latest world world news forum has about 6 of them already...

    Because a cow is big enough to beat your ass. And killing a cow like that is inhumane and takes way more effort than needed.

    Was it stated that the Soldier had PTSD?

    PTSD effects people in a huge variety of ways and if true it might excuse him from his actions even if he seems like having a blast while doing it.

    However, I doubt that all of the Soldiers around him had PTSD and should have intervened.

    I know that guy who threw that puppy got DD'ed. I don't know why people assume that they won't. This is absolutely conduct unbefitting.

    What if he is just a born jackass? I am pretty sure that Dbag did not have PTSD, and i am most definitely liberal.
