So I have always wanted to take part in a "Model UN" where people volunteer to represent their respective countries and raise issues and condemn others which would then be put to a vote and if a "resolution" passed we would then send it to some official representative wherever to voice our concerns or whatever. At the very least I think this would be great practice of government and an opportunity to meet new people. Would anyone be interested in something like this? and by the way, your country doesn't have to "exist" per say such as kurdistan, they can be an aspiring nation, unrecognized nation...
I participate in Model United Nations in real life. However, I would be interested in this as well. I always need to refine my parliamentary debate skills.
In fact, why dont we make this exclusively a Model UN for aspiring or unrecognized nations.. you dont have to be from the place, you simply have to represent it in good faith and intelligence.
When i get 3 more interested parties i'll start a group on it and we'll pick nations and get it going you can choose from these lists: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_states_with_limited_recognition http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_active_autonomist_and_secessionist_movements http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Cultural_flags http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Flags_of_unrecognized_states http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Flags_of_active_autonomist_and_secessionist_movements http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ethnic_flag http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pan-nationalism
