A call from "Restore the Republic" group: Call Obama's office!!!

    http://rtr.org/videos/2/36349/federal-government-takes-final-s

Featuring Rep. Ron Paul and Rep. Justin Amash | In what can only be considered a tragic irony, the U.S. Senate passed out of the final conference committee the controversial National Defense Authorization Act of 2012, coinciding with the 220th Anniversary of the ratification of the Bill of Rights. Section 1031 of the National Defense Authorization Act otherwise known as the NDAA, provides broad authority for the federal government to use the military in domestic operations in order to detain Americans indefinitely and without trial. Such a move not only whitewashes the natural rights of Americans, whereby even publicly criticizing the federal government can now rise to the purposefully vague definition of a "belligerent act", it also sits in direct violation of "Posse Comitatus" an 1878 law forbidding use of the military at home and against Americans. With the bill now clearing both House and Senate conference committees as of this yesterday, the only hope at this point to halt the legislation from becoming law is for Patriotic Americans to flood the White House with telephone calls, emails, and faxes demanding this President not sign the bill into law. Please melt the White House Switchboard and comment

It's pretty screwed up. If Obama passes this, I'm not voting for him again.

Well, if they pass this law the wonder would be that there are any free thinker free to vote...
what scares me most is that they are approving this law after the "occypy " movement peaceful protests, and in the aftermath of a possible attack against Iran which could cause a IIIWW.
Are they making sure nobody goes to the streets to protest against the war?
What good can this type of war bring to US and the world?
Isn't it going to be used as a excuse for an unending time of scarcity and repression?
Is that what the US people want for themselves and the world?

The effects won't be immediate. They're clever enough to be subtle about it. That's the scary part.

We've already seen the same excuses thrown about that were used with the Patriot Act and somewhat with Gitmo.

People assume it's ok as long as they have nothing to hide, but they forget how things can be fabricated.

If we pass this bill, it won't lead to WW3, but it will lead to a new "Brown Scare" atmosphere (more than we've already got).

    This law is absolutely horrific.

America is being destroyed from within.

The terrorists are winning by simply doing nothing and letting America destroy herself.

Even though this law is only supposed to pertain to terrorists or anyone that supports attacks on America, I agree that it is outrageous. It ruins the whole point that makes America BETTER than these other countries. Instead, we stoop to the level of the terrorists.

It's more akin to the US of AIPAC government giving the terrorists new powers over Americans.
How do we shoot down the drones that are watching us ?

You support terrorism by supporting Hezbollah and other groups such as Al-Qaeda. I loathe all of your posts, its nothing but uneducated drivel.

And yes this law should not be passed at all. I assume the ACLU will sue if it does.

I support any group which seeks to defend its homeland against invasion. Zionists, as every right-minded observer knows, don't qualify.
