Every single year there's a new big bill where big companies try to grab hold of the internet so they can control the information people see. I'm sick of it.

IMO we should go to the highest level and just put something in the constitution itself that guarantees the freedom of information on the internet. The companies straight up want to make us almost like China and sell the information to the highest bidder while slowing down the reset or maybe some day stopping it entirely (though China does it for other purposes than bribes ;P).

The internet has incredible transparency and it treats all information equally (relatively...). It should STAY that way.

The invention of the printing Press upset the power structures of the world. It was instrumental in the dispersion of ideas previously under the lid of Kings and the Church. Both lost control and the violence that ensued was due to the sharing of ideas that undercut The Power Structure.
TV, The Press, Radio are information channels Controlled by Big Business and I have little doubt that soon the Internet will be controlled as well.
After all, you control the Mind you are free to lie and twist reality.

A story tat is true. Soon after the printing Press the edicts of martin Luther spread like Wildfire. Each german and across Europe common people could Read the Bible for the first time in their own language. Such crapola lies as the rule of divine right by Kings was found by the people to be a Big Lie. A fundamental lie that upset the Rule of Divine consent that Popes and the Church told the populace that is why Kings ruled..a divine consent by God through the blessing of the church.

When people discovered this was nowhere in the bible riots spread from town to town and a peasant army over a 100,000 strong burnt churches, monasteries, manors and castles. The king armed an army of 50,000 knights and slaughtered all of them. From that time forward the rule of kings was one of Might only. Ideas were made criminal and the Inquisition stepped up activities.

Ideas outside of the Control of the power Elite are ideas that need suppression. Even Boards like these that occasionally educate with Ideas outside of the Accepted may soon be history. I have no doubt one day the internet faucet of ideas will be controlled much the way China's internet is not free.

By definition constitutional amendments are government rules.

If you're against the constitution I guess I could understand why you'd hate it.

    I agree.

Too bad the meida mogules of the USA have the politicians and supreme court in their pockets. It's impossible to stop money and it's influence on law makers. We can assume that once viewers shy away from the cable and netork BS propaganda they feed us, they will sure turn to controling the content of the internet, and do on it, what they have done to the cable and broadcast TV, and periodicals. I once thought they could not infliltrat the Public Broadcast and Public radio, But they have manipulated them too, It is just more thought provolking propagnada.

Hence I turn to comedians for the real deal on politics LOL.

I agree. There should be a constitutional amendment that prevents the government from interfering with the internet.
