not to worry, you've done a fine job.

Hey, can you do that part where you pretend to be offended again ?
    It's so cute.

You don't post serious arguments. Why is that? Why not post to the merits?

Paul did offend me. I don't want a president that would clearly be antagonistic toward a particular minority group. You are ok with that. That's the transparent truth. No pretending. He revealed himself in that clip.

    No pretending.

Paul does offend me in that clip, who shows an obvious disgust with gay people. I don't want a president with that attitude toward any particular minority group, and the clip clearly reveals his personal revulsion.

But that is still a minor reason to disqualify him. His inability, and frank disinterest, in being able to build a coalition around any of his pet issues would make him not just ineffective as president, but obstructive. His congressional record shows him to be a failure at building consensus, and his speeches have shown that he is proud of the fact.

He is building a consensus in the American people and that is all that matters. His support does nothing but grow day by day.

Unfortunately, in governance it is not all that matters. You have to work with two other bodies that have legislative power to be effective, and Paul has proven himself unable to do so, and uninterested.

In most cases everyone loses when you compromise.

It comes down to the Constitution, not what the two bodies of congress want. It does not matter if Republicans or Democrats want a piece of legislation...if it is not allowed in the Constitution you don't get it. Don't like it? Change the Constitution.

    You never compromise your principles.

    you're right.
Give in to corruption for the sake of "accomplishing" corrupt goals.

I'm curious: how does the Constitution advise earmarks be handled?

All of you cheering on the inability of RP to work with others toward a common goal, or to be able to communicate his vision to create a collective of peers to work toward it, are inadvertently cheering on the demise of the country. When the wheels fall off because he is such a beacon of ideology who won't work with the congress and the government grinds to a complete hault that will make the Tea Party obstruction seem like grade school stuff, you come on here and tell me how proud you are as the bread lines form.

What your typically substanceless post fails to address is how RP fixes the problem.
The strawman set up is that I like corporatism. It has no basis in fact.

No. That is another strawman. You won't find the quote that states that from me.

Does that somehow constitute an argument in Squid-land?

    You do this constantly.
Make an argument and defend it.
    These are childish responses.

Compromise has been dead for a while in Washington... Both sides hate each other, you can see it with most posts on this site.

again the actions of your congress and house of representatives over the past months show that there are plenty of individuals in Government that have repeatedly shown an inability to work with members of the other party toward a common goal.

"you won't find a quote from me" .......thats funny.

Perhaps a new status quo, big government corporatist in town will work together with the existing ones to "fix the problem" that have been created by the status quo, big government corporatists. Everyone will "work together" to make sure that happens.

    "find a quote", ......I can't stop laughing.

    Or provide a quote.
    Your posts are self-parodies.

He can't do it on his own. How will RP be the Wizard of Washington that will make things all better?
