I agree with this blog 100% get religion out of the government and keep it out! Prayer is not to ever be mandated in schools nor are laws to be passed under the banner of religion.

I've never heard any Republican candidate call for MANDATORY prayers in schools. Your blogger is mis-informed and your thread is nothing but liberal drama.

Perry & Gingrich are right... there is a 'public war on religion in America' and this thread is proof of that. Congrats on proving their point.

Althoug I agree, America would be better off more stupid than it allready is, and we need to keep dumb people down so they do not overtake the smart ones.

Perry and Gingrich dont gives a rats ass about religion. They only care about Christians......They would have no problem with Muslims being barred from performing daily prayers in school, or other religious students performing their practices.

Santorum and Bachmann's speeches after the caucus were more like a prayer meeting than a political event. I don't mind them being religious as long as that isn't all they ever talk about - but I'd rather know what they know about running the government and foreign affairs. I also have to say that as such devout and vocal Christians, it's odd to me that they both seem to think bombing Iran should be their first order of business and they can hardly wait to get it on. :omg:

Wasn't it Jerry Falwell who said to "kill them in the name of the Lord"? Right wing "Christians" are against abortion but always amongst the first to want to kill you. Strange people.

The community that lives in and around his empire would never know that...trust me. Hicks think he's God or something. Did you know he carved his initials into the side of a mountain in Lynchburg? They need to tax those F'ers, but the right wing base they occupy would never let that happen. They just own everything and tell you how to live. Sad but true.

How any supported her is beyond comprehension. She is far right wing religious zealout who basically supports a christian theocracy. And yes Bachmann has openly demanded schools sponsor christian prayer, but not prayer for hindu's muslims, jews, etc etc. At leasts shes quitting the race. Good riddance to her hopefully she will also be voted out. We don't need religious extremists in congress.

There's no "war on religion." By the way, when anybody says that, they almost always mean "war on Christianity." Because (*)(*)(*)(*) Judaism and Islam (according to them). If we were to seriously secularize the country and leave religion to where it should be--a personal thing the government neither pushes, prohibits, or prioritizes--a lot of things would change, and for the better.
