Lets face it, Romney is very likely to win the nomination. Even if Gingrich wins in SC, its a tough road to the top, and one Romney has the money to travel.

That being said, I cannot wait to see all the conservatives who called Romney "Obama-lite" fall in line and support him, and you know they will. Is there any conservative on this forum who will take a principled stance and not vote for Romney, regardless?

"obama lite" would obviously be an improvement than another 4 years of full blown Obama.

of course im gonna put my vote in for Mickey Mouse because simply Obama nor whatever the repubs put up against him are not worth my vote. sorry but Obama is a piece of (*)(*)(*)(*) and the repubs aint showing me much better, a lot lesser evil than Obama but i still dont trust Romney or Gingrich.

Let's face it, liberals are incapable of creating a coherent thread title on this forum. It's like deciphering the writings of a ten year old. Geesh.

I can't wait to see anybody but Obama win the election in November. Doesn't matter who, as long as it's not Barack.

I never had much problem with Romney myself. I would prefer someone from a more conservative state with a more consistently conservative executive record but Romney at worst will be far, far more conservative than President Obama.

No, almost all threads on this website are stupid.
Conservative Threads consist of Bashing Obama Non Stop.
Liberal Threads consist of Bashing mistakes of Conservatives Non Stop.

I don't have a problem with the content... after all, this is a POLITICAL FORUM, ya know? :-D

But for pete's sake, people... spend 10 seconds proofreading the title before you hit CREATE NEW THREAD. Everytime a liberal starts a new thread, the collective IQ of the forum drops 5 points.

It must be terrifying to learn the basics of life in US schools, colleges and universities between the gunshots.

    *Raises hand*.

I will not vote for Romney. Not even if he were to select Paul himself as his running mate.
The future of the entire Republican Party is at stake. I won't throw away the last 2 years of progress so someone like Romney can set it back another 10 years.

I'll vote for Herman Cain if you vote for Hillary Clinton. Yes, people will fall in line. They always do, for both parties. How do you think Obama was elected? Is this a serious critique of the Republican party alone, or are you just as mad at the Democrats that fell in line after a HEAVILY contested 2008 primary?

So you won't be surprised if another shooting at an educational establishment takes place inside the next month, will you?

Perhaps the 2 was intended as a 4.

You act as if they have a choice inn the matter. Their presidential nominee is pretty much chosen by four states.

Can't believe I forgot to mention this...

Paul's supporters are libertarians. Libertarians aren't real keen on "falling in line", which is kinda the main trait that makes them... you know... "libertarians".

I suspect the OP doesn't quite understand the situation. You can try to bully us, cajole us, or berate us, but in the end that just makes us more resolute to not do what you want. You may as well get used to the idea of losing this election without us, 'cuz your snake-oil salesman can't win witout us and will never get our backing.
We'd rather lose this election and gain control of the Republican Party instead.

I'll more than likely vote for whoever wins the GOP nomination if it's blatantly obvious come election time that RP doesn't have a realistic chance.

I know that likely irks Libertarians and other RP diehards, but either Mitt or Newt is better than Obama. Voting for RP when/if it becomes clear that he won't win...IS casting a vote for Obama. Another four years of Obama is a guaranteed four more years of retarded spending, further attempts at increasing taxes, and expanding government... you can bet the bank on that.

At least with Newt or Mitt, ideologically they are more in line with the ideas of small government, lower tax/less spending... etc. MY main concern with the GOP candidates (minus RP), is that they'd be far too quick take action in Iran or elsewhere.

The longer the primaries, the better the prospects in the general. I hope that it's not wrapped up for at least two or three months.

This is how parties vote. They look at nominees until an eventual winner is selected than pour support into that candidate. Just because your guy didn't win doesn't mean you won't support the party. I remember all the Hillary voters falling in line with Obama when she was knocked out.

It's called compromise. We don't like to do it, but we will if we have to. A bad Republican is still slightly better than a Democrat any day.

Lefties should be familiar with this tactic. It's one of the main strategies in Saul Alinsky's Rules for Radicals; always ask for 100% of what you want and if you have to compromise and only get 30%, you're still 30% ahead of where you started. Then ask for 100% again. Repeat ad infinitum.
