Score a big one for Obama. Auto-manufacturing is the backbone of American manufacturing and if it weren't for Obama loaning GM money, which Republicans were against, our manufacturing would have taken another hit. Not to mention, it's share of the market would most likely be replaced by a foreign competitor. Obama is for America. Are Republicans?

 

TOYOTA USA alone has a market cap that's worth almost 3 times as much as GM. Wake me up when GM market cap hits $50 billions mark.

Americans were for letting GM reorganize in the bankruptcy courts. Not having the Obama administration intervene and use taxpayer money to prop up the threatened investments of the UAW (who were greatly responsible for GM's problems to begin with).

I asked a simple question. Provide a source for your claim that Americans were for GM going through the bankruptcy court.

Obama is not pro America.

He is pro auto union because they support him politically.

Without them he might not be president and would have to pay for his own vacations instead of the taxpayers funding them.

 

Bush started the whole bailout of the automakers so you all have him to thank for their success.

Actually Obama took office in 2009. It was pretty much all Obama. Bush got the ball rolling, that's it.

Actually no. You still need to make a quality product and have credible business plans. The latter is which delayed them from getting a bailout sooner than they did.

You do remember when Bush passed the first stimulus? The correct response would be that some conservatives are against stimulus while others think there has been too much stimulus.

Unionized car plans are 27% more productivity and have 30% less accidents/deaths.
Not to mention Germany produces twice the amount of cars as America yest has like 50% higher benefits for its workers.
The Obama auto bailout saved 1 million jobs. So the real question is how disingenuous are you anyway, and how much of a partisan hack are you anways?
