Proclaiming that "no one cares" seems rather presumptuous, but, to whatever extent personal taxes are irrelevant in assessing a candidate, honestly providing accurate records should not be a problem for any of them, certainly not one who boasts of astute money manipulation.

The only ones hollering for the release of tax information are those of the opposite party who want reason 965 to vote against him. Those who are for the candidate couldn't care less what his taxes show.

Trump has responded back. He does like to use Twitter, huh. I am the Donald, hear me tweet.

TRUMP: Mitt Romney was 'one of the dumbest' candidates in GOP history.....

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump continued to lash out at Mitt Romney on Thursday morning.

"Mitt Romney, who was one of the dumbest and worst candidates in the history of Republican politics, is now pushing me on tax returns," Trump wrote on Twitter.

    "Dope!" he added.

Trump responded to Romney's interview by calling him a "fool" and "goofy" on Twitter. On Wednesday night, he also retweeted a small flurry of supporters using insults like "pathetic" and "jealous" to describe Romney:.....snip~

more likely then not ,DONALD TRUMP did not pay much in taxis this year and i could care less as long as he did not break the law.
TRUMP himself said he gets audited every year, this is another attempt by the idiots at the RNC to push TRUMP OUT.
like him or not,NOBODY OWNS DONALD TRUMP.

Typically Trump. Romney did run one of the most inept campaigns since Bush the first back in 1992.

I'm not sure inept is the best word to use for Romney. During the last month, Romney kicked Obama's butt in the first debate. Then in the second debate (IIRCC) the idiot moderator put herself in the debate by falsely backing up Obama against something Romney said. It was at that point, it seemed Romney decided the odds were against him when people can get away with breaking the rules in order to defeat him. It's like he gave up and the other 2 debates were bad for Romney. He gave up.

Romney has gone kind of mute for the moment, huh? Still it was a former Presidential Candidate taking a shot at the GOP front runner.

If that is the best attack Romney has.....he might as well just stay out in pasture. [IMG]

The easy way to resolve this is for hamster head to release his tax returns instead of making lame excuses.

The reason I said that is I got the feeling Romney thought he was going to win just because he was Obama. After the convention I expected Romney to run some positive ads, introducing himself, his family, telling America what he stood for and his vision for America. He never did that. He let Obama define him. I know negative ads work, but at some point one has to run some positives.

In the end Romney came in probably better than he should have. If not for that first debate, Romney would have lost worst than McCain. That is my take on it anyway.

he shouldn't have even entered the fray.

Yeah, I agree, there was a lot things Romney could have done better. Part of it was that people of that caliber aren't in the habit of getting their hands dirty if they can help it, by trying to stay above the c***. Do we know for sure the negative ads were his, or a super pac's?

This sort of shows us why Trump is doing well don't you think? He's a fighter.

Yeah, he didn't need to as the Donald ran away from a 2 hr Town Hall hosted by Megyn Kelly last night. One where candidates actually had to answer questions.

Headlines this morning should have been all over it.....but then Romney jumped in and the Twitter verse rang out with the Twittering of the Tweets.

I thought about that, but Trump really didn't need the exposure. He is the one that loses.

POT MEET KETTLE :roflol: What an ABSOLUTE CLOWN Mitt Romney is, he lost the election in 2012, because during his interview with the American voters, he said we had no business seeing anything but the last two years of what he's paid in taxes and voters resoundly kicked his Ass out of contention against Barack Obama, NOW! he has the Gall to come up with this BIG! Breaking news that Donald Trump is hiding something in his Taxes. What a FRIGGEN Hypocrite, The Donald should tell FLIP FLOPNEY to take his theories and stick um down his Mormon Magic Underwear ( Yeah! he actually wears those ) This GOP election couldn't have been better scripted and THE DONALD has the GOP completely Conned:clapping: In 2016 one of three Democratic candidates is going to win, Hillary, Sanders or TRUMP:roflol:

That is a valid point. Most candidates do not want to be seen as being mean. Trump doesn't care and that resonates within the Republican Ranks. But will it among independents once we get past the conventions? So far the answer is no. A 64% unfavorable rating among independent is unheard of.

Not to mention, he gets out from having to give some specifics with his answers and not all the general topic Headlines with the News.

Actually, it is Republican Willard Mitt Romney who is leading the demand for disclosure:

:roflol: It is especially ironic that Mitty is doing this since Harry Reid called him out when he was running for POTUS. He claimed that Mitty cheated on his taxes. This GOP establishment has mush for brains. Unbelievable.

If Trump's finances are on the up and up then what is there to fear?

Romney's looking for any dirt that the Establishment can use. More than likely he will endorse Rubio before Utah and Massachusetts.

Let him look all he wants, like I said if Trump is on the up and up then Romney is wasting his time. Sure Romney's motives are suspect, but who cares? Politics is a full contact sport that Trump seems to be well adapt at playing.

Romney pulling a Harry Reid on Trump! :roflol:

I don't think any candidate should have to turn over their tax returns. It gives information to economic competitors and other private information. That the candidate paid their taxes is enough.

For Trump, he may have started to play the prevent defense. He figures he is up by 2 touchdowns with 2 minutes to go so he can play it loose just to run some time off the clock. He may be right.

Romneys suggestion was that if his returns show no donations to military veteran charities, then his insistence on his support of/and love for veterans is probably not true. On the other hand, if he has given heavily to veteran groups, it would bode well for him.
