    Hang on!

Do you meant o tell me there are police officers in Washington DC?

Gosh, that Malkin is incredible. How did she ever find this out? I bet no one was remotely aware that Washington DC had police or security personnel. Lucky they got a picture, because I am not sure anyone would have believed it to be true without some proof.

Has Hussein Obama graduated to being a full-blown tyrant?

Usually security provides security. Not blocking admission to the Lincoln Memorial.

    Hang on!

Do you mean to tell me that during a government shut down they send police to watch over tax funded monuments instead of going to the streets and helping people?

Golly, who would have thunk that this is a priority? Gee willickers, thank god we have them hard workin' folk up in congress taking time out of their busy schedule to make sure that them there monuments are safe and not going anywhere. It's not like they would do anything childish and immature right?

Well it is the usual dishonesty we can come to expect from things like this. Security at the Lincoln Memorial was beefed up after a graffiti attack in July.

Is that what happened? This police officer was tasked to watch over the Lincoln Memorial instead of patrolling the streets due to the shutdown?

It seems a rather poor choice in priorities if so. At least in my wise and generally correct opinion.

Care to share evidence that crime has spiked during the shutdown around Washington DC or are you just having an outrage for the sake of an outrage

Is that what he is doing? Blocking admission to the Lincoln Memorial?

I googled some more images., It seems there is a precedent for police patrolling said memorial.

Okay. I would not necessarily disagree. I just find it a bit mirthful that folks would be surprised that there are police around monuments.

    Yes, pretty much.

Hes using the government as a political weapon, and its the kind of tactic a despot would use.

House Republicans probe DC monument closures amid slimdown

now hes back on the campaign trail trying to drum up support for the destruction of America, and the American Dream.

Could Molon or anybody on the Right produce a photo of the

"barricade" at the World War-II Memorial?

I've never actually seen it, though I've heard it compared to the Berlin Wall.

Care to share where I said I was outraged or are you just accusing me of things for the sake of accusing?

If I was Beohner, Id insist on adding on a amendment to the funding bill that requires obama tell the truth atleast once per week.

Only difference between Current Events and the Latest World News section is, that in here all the pathetic threads are about how vile Obama is rather than the jews.

You mean standard operating procedure in the event of government shutdown? Park workers are taken off duty as they are considered "non-essential" and as a result, all national parks and monuments are closed to the public, and it becomes part of the duties of the "essential" police force to enforce this. It's not the most sensible thing (it's a law meant to protect places like Yellowstone, and could use a little bit of amendment to not also target things like the Washington Monument), but to paint this as some spectacular failing of "obama's america" is somewhere between dishonest and bat(*)(*)(*)(*) crazy.

...I will, however, gladly say that that is a quite powerful photo. Shame it's being used to further an idea that is just completely wrong on its face.

Correct; with the recent spate of vandalism occurring in the Capitol, an increased presence is necessary; of course if there was little or no presence there and vandalism occurred, then you'd have people complaining that there was a lack of security at the sites.
