‘White Fragility’ author Robin DiAngelo gets tricked into paying reparations to Matt Walsh’s produce

The creator of “What is a Woman?” documentary is apparently making a new documentary entitled “Am I Racist?” In “What is a Woman?” he apparently asked liberals to define woman just to watch them struggle. I’ve only seen the trailer, but I know it triggered a lot of people. I’m sure his new documentary will do the same.

NY Post was given an exclusive where apparently Robin DiAngelo, the author of White Fragility, was tricked into giving his producer reparations while posing to be a liberal anti-racist.

There’s no video in the article, but they do quote parts of their conversation and a lot of the languages being used seems comical. It’s interesting that there are people who think this is normal behavior. Who says things like, “on behalf of my fellow white people, I apologize… and here’s $30 to make up for some unknown thing.”

I think it’s kind of racist to assume that giving me $30 helps make up for past racism in any way. So cringe.

How about making up for your racism by not accepting more payment than black speakers at “diversity forums” and not plagiarizing minorities on your doctoral thesis?

 

I'm going to get blasted for this, but whites should feel pride, not guilt. Our accomplishments far outweigh our faults.

 

We have as much right to pride as anyone. Though I do question which sort of 'pride' people are engaging in.

This is hilarious. A fool and their money are soon parted. If I was the black guy I would have acted very insulted that it was only $30 and sent her to the ATM to make it even more right. You can't even hardly buy a decent lunch for two at Wendy's with $30

If I personally do something wrong then I will apologize but I think only an idiot would sit there and grovel at the feet of someone and apologize for having not done anything to the person that didn't suffer anything that didn't even happen to that person.

 

White people built this country. You're damn right we should be proud.

I pretty much reserve my pride for my own accomplishments

 

Picking crops. No slave labor was involved in building the bridges, the interstate system, the cities, etc. And no, The White House wasn't built strictly with slave labor.

Pride in what Americans accomplish vs Pride in the accomplishments of a single race of Americans.

To be clear, this is not to minimize the atrocity of slavery in America. But only about 10 million slaves existed in the US (before and after independence from the crown) so the statistical significance of slave labor prior to the Civil War compared to the total building of this nation is very small. Non slave blacks and other minorities did a lot more to build this nation.

Of course slaves contributed. But so did free blacks before the civil war and freed slaves and their offspring after the civil war. And don’t forget the relatively small number of Chinese that essentially opened up the entire US west and Midwest to agricultural and industrial development by building the first transcontinental railroad in the US.

I think we should celebrate the contributions of all instead of wallowing in or assigning guilt.
