President Trump told the world this week that “we reject the ideology of globalism.” But globalism has been crucial to the success of Trump’s own business, another instance of Trump the politician contradicting Trump the businessman.

You people argue back and forth over what politicians say or do. But you never seem to realize the con game they are playing..

Corporate Trump doesn't profit by operating in an ideological vacuum. The US economic construct is what it is ... and that's what Trump is challenging. Corporate America shouldn't be at odds with American economic development. Nor should US corporations be at global disadvantage. Liberals love to "level playing fields" by means of affirmative action ... but let any of that seep into industry, or agriculture and it's a whole different story.

Seriously, I think your being obtuse. But if if you need an example for both Trump and Obama... The Paris accord is a prime example of the US capitulating to the world and Trump giving the proverbial finger to the US having to be the worlds scapegoat

I agree about the Paris accord but that's not a knock against globalism.

trump and his supporters have a new word of the week, globalism, and from now on, it will be equivalent to a 4 letter regardless the validity of their argument.

Ha! Macron just yesterday vowed to reject any trade deals with any nation not participating in the Paris accord. This, and I mean the accord, plays into the larger scheme of global wealth redistribution. Trump hasn't any misconceptions about global economics. I don't know what Trump has to do to convince the resistance his trade policies are good for Americans. I've touched on the subject already, begining with post #46.

Why isn't Trump withdrawing the US from the UN?

He totally eliminated the funding for UNICEF and reduced the UN budget by staggering levels. I think that's a fair step!

Trump budget cut bid would make it 'impossible' for U.N.: spokesman

The Obama/Clinton Arab Spring did nothing to advance our goals and only made matters much worse in the M.E.

We've been sending billions there and all we end up doing is enriching the warlords and the people continue to starve. UNICEF is basically a colander trying to stop a title wave.

Did you watch the UN speech? Its online. Yep they laughed until POTUS announced the key funding reductions. Could hear a pin drop in a room with several hundred people after that.

The UN diplomats and their Oliver Twist countries they represent are arrogant, self important, entitled children. They criticize America, burn our flags and laugh at our President and yet still hand out the soup bowl??

Sigh its Americas fault too . We are like millenial parents who have not prepared their children to face the world without them as a crutch. A shift towards Nationalism from us and away from our foreign policy strategies of trying to control the world via money and our military since WW2 has been needed since the Cold War ended. Finally a President and administration that sees that.

Trump has done nothing for trade policies, well, except set them back. Last week he got all giddy about a supposed deal with South Korea that in reality it looked a whole lot like the old deal. The EU and China are moving closer together, Russia and China are moving closer together, and what used to be America's traditional allies have moved on and formed new partnerships as the TCPP without the US

As I said, nothing, unless you count the fabrications Trump puts out as "tremendous"

What the f*ck does any of that have to do with Trumps foreign policy of "patriotism?" Seeing you can't respond to the question without an Obama "whataboutism" shows you have no clue what a foreign policy of "patriotism" means, must be Fox's demogogues didn't cover this week

No, they just flat out laughed at him, to his face, he forgot they weren't the lemmings he is used to addressing in his gym rallies

And what you are saying is that Trump is undoing the American led world order created by America's Greatest Generation out of the ashes of two world wars to prevent a third and one pursued by every American President since as the guidelines of American foreign policy

How was Obama's foreign policy anything but a disaster? It amounted to a reset button, the apology tour and the Arab Spring. You must be effing proud.
Patriots don't gab their ankles and bow in submission , or maybe you Dims just like bending over with open cheeks.
