So still you can't seem to define what exactly I'm a hypocrite about.

    Thought so.

We should do what Frederic Douglass suggested:

“Everybody has asked the question. . ."What shall we do with the Negro?" I have had but one answer from the beginning. Do nothing with us! Your doing with us has already played the mischief with us. Do nothing with us! If the apples will not remain on the tree of their own strength, if they are wormeaten at the core, if they are early ripe and disposed to fall, let them fall! I am not for tying or fastening them on the tree in any way, except by nature's plan, and if they will not stay there, let them fall. And if the Negro cannot stand on his own legs, let him fall also. All I ask is, give him a chance to stand on his own legs! Let him alone!”

Government's role ended with the 13th, 14th, 15th amendments, and the 1964 and 65 Civil Rights legislation.

I meant by a black student suing for not being admitted due to race.

Not a group run by a white guy who shopped for cases to overturn this and only now succeeded due to the SC ideological stacking by the Republican party.

THE SUPREME COURT’S AFFIRMATIVE ACTION DECISION

'Most troubling of all is what the dissent must make these omissions to defend: a judiciary that picks winners and losers based on the color of their skin. While the dissent would certainly not permit university programs that discriminated against black and Latino applicants, it is perfectly willing to let the programs here continue. In its view, this Court is supposed to tell state actors when they have picked the right races to benefit. Separate but equal is “inherently unequal,” said Brown. 347 U. S., at 495 (emphasis added). It depends, says the dissent.'

“But, despite the dissent’s assertion to the contrary, universities may not simply establish through application essays or other means the regime we hold unlawful today. (A dissenting opinion is generally not the best source of legal advice on how to comply with the majority opinion.)”

So you think it's likely that a college in the US would not admit a student based solely on being black?

    I shall await that case.

Here we have some spots at some publicly funded universities explicitly set aside for first nations people. If only one applies they will get that spot regardless of anything else. And nobody else is allowed to fill it regardless of anything else about them.

A racial spoils system is what the American left would like to impose in the US. After all, nothing brings us together like dividing us by official privilege.

Especially with military vets. Hmmmmm.......matter of fact, they're covered by a discriminatory policy known as AA.

Didn't you just post about me being able to learn? You want to throw stones living in a glass house. It's like talking to a child.

'Jackson argues that government-funded policies that are prejudiced against white and Asian kids — all of them, no matter how hard they work or what their backgrounds might be — are not only legal but necessary. What she fails to concede is that for every instance of “affirmative” race-based admission to a college, there is corresponding instance of race-based discrimination.'

This was a good write up. I believe students should be only considered by merit of SAT. No rich daddy credit just SAT. Maybe include personal accomplishments that may be impressive but that is it. Color shouldn’t even be a boxed asked to check and should be illegal to do so. I feel the Supreme Court got this one 100% right.

There is no need for affirmative action because the constitution guarantees that race be no role in decisions. It’s unconstitutional and happy for the ruling. The best should get the chance to be better rather than someone who may be topped out.

This is the kind of racism from some Democrats that Justice Thomas takes a baseball bat to.

He argues against racial determinism and against the concept that Blacks are inferior to anyone.

A Black Mama responds to this white Dem racist, Erica Marsh:

'My BLACK child just graduated high school with a 4.43 and 72 college credits. Thank you for letting us know that her skin color means she’s still dumb asf and can’t succeed on merit.'

How about the affirmative action provisions for veterans, the disabled and women?

What will change, immediately very little. The problem as awful as some universities are, lies with k-12 which is far more interested in indoctrination than education these days. Because that's what's coming out of miseducation departments these days.

Veterans come in both sexes and all colors of the human rainbow, ditto disabled, so yep. Women are already vastly over represented in virtually every aspect of our education system so no.

It is still illegal for race to be a role in decisions. The scotus didn’t do away with that. They never said you can discriminate, to the contrary they said you can’t discriminate and affirmative action does influence discrimination upon race. Therefore striking down affirmative action

There is no amendment saying you can not favor veterans. However you can not discriminate by sex so women and men are not able to be judged differently by sex. Favoring one or the other is discriminatory

You can file civil suits if you can prove it. That’s how this whole thing came about anyway.
