Political appointees rejected efforts to search for additional evidence investigators believed might provide answers, then closed the case.

It looks like the Washington Post is returning to its stellar investigative stories worthy of All the President's Men, except this case makes Richard Nixon look like a saint compared to Trump.

When Trump became president, I was afraid of how much damage he would do, and now we are just starting to get a handle on just how truly corrupt his administration was. It's not just one act of questionable legality. It happens repeatedly, and the fact that he installed so many sycophants in government, that expecting the justice system to work as it should has sent a shockwave through our government institutions. His sycophants have been and are continuing to gum up the gears of justice as much as possible. This case, in particular, requires the FBI to do its job, but the perception that anything to do with Trump automatically gets labeled as "political" it has paralyzed how our institutions get to the truth. This case in particular is extremely alarming, but because of Trump's bootlickers, the statute of limitations has expired.

 

Trump was and still is, fully for sale, and not only to the highest bidder but to all bidders.

 

This man shouldn't even be allowed to fly over Washington DC airspace. He is that much of a threat to our nation.

They closed the case because they had no choice. AG Barr shut that investigation down and it shows just how much politicization the DOJ and the AG had when it came to Trump. They protected their own at any and all costs.
