Could you explain why Stalin did not attack Hitler in this favorable moment to attack? When the balance of forces on the border was: 10:247

First of all, you didn't say what you source was. Please tell us how you got this piece of info.

There are plausible scenarios. Maybe the weather wasn't right. Maybe they were waiting for Gerrmany to attack England so that they could do it when the Germans were busy.

June 22, 1940, when "Operation Barbarossa" plan was begin developed, pilots in German spy planes could not see anything special at the border.
Stalin has not yet pulled together troops to the border June 22, 1940.

1 ... there is no information at this time there were big Russian troops at the border..
2 ... if there were a large Russian army, Hitler would have sent more troops too. June 22, 1940.
3 ... is no information about the construction of the German defense line.

All of this suggests that the June 22, 1940 there was no threat from Russia on the border.
    10:247
1... these balance of power 10:247.......such numerical superioritydoes not require that "Germans were busy"
2.... at that time ( in the early 1941 )"Germans were busy" "in the Balkans campaign in Yugoslavia and Greece".
This suggests that Stalin did not want to attack first.

Stalin didn't think Hitler would attack. He even didn't believe his own advisors.
And yes, it is true, Stalin wanted to wait until German forces were weakened fighting France and Britain.
Hitler delayed his attack by three weeks while he waited for Hess' return from his peace mission to England. Those three wasted weeks caused the German army later great trouble with the onset of bad weather. Roads became impassable due to mud from much rain. Their equipment got stuck and broke down. They had to fell young trees and put them across the path. Supply lines were delayed. Before they reached Moscow the Russians had recovered and were able to drive the Germans back. The wasted three weeks in starting the campaign pretty much decided the outcome of the war. In November 1941 they got within 40km of Moscow. IF they had started out earlier they might have been able to capture Moscow. The war would have been over! And our fellow poster, RUS, would be speaking perfect German now!

From what I remember having read Stalin was not aware or couldn't fathom Hitler might attack him. The thing was that Stalin prepared to attack, not defend himself. Hitler attacked, seeing Stalin was betraying him. It was the surprise attack of the Germans that made the Russians scramble for air... they were not prepared to defend themselves, only getting ready to attack. Apparently there is a difference between those two modes of warfare.
Yes, IF Stalin had attacked the Germans first, it would all have turned out differently.
So, comrade RUS, take it like a man... you guys got beaten good and solid by the Germans!! At least in the beginning.:salute:

That is human nature... someone always wants to be in control and take the cream off the top.
Through lies and promises they get the dull masses to run in whatever direction they are told to run... willingly even. It doesn't matter whether it is politicians, religious leaders or what have you... some simply state God told them to rob and kill. It seems Mother Earth has sacrificed herself to host the most despicable characters so they can learn by trial and error and karma how to behave in order to advance to the next higher level.
    Something like that, I figure.

Hitler did not wait for Hess. Hitler had to fight in Yugoslavia and Greece. So he postponed the attack on Russia.

Stalin did not believe that Hitler would attack in June 1941, because he knew that Hitler is not preparing to fight the winter. Stalin had no idea that Hitler was so sure of himself that he hopes to break Russia before winter. Stalin outsmarted himself.
But Stalin knew that Hitler was planning to attack Russia. It is 100%

Let's look at the map of Europe in early 1941.
All states of Europe conquered by Hitler or became allies without fighting Hitler.
Do you think that Hitler abandoned his plan in Mein Kampf? (Seizure of the territory of Russia)

The Third Reich at the peak of its power.
Hitler's authority has no limit. .
Do you believe that Hitler would have stopped in this position?

Say yes, and we'll laugh with your joke.

    .
    PS
June 22, 1940, "Operation Barbarossa" plan was begin developed.

Are you saying Hitler started to plan already a whole year ahead of the actual date he invaded Russia? That would be new to me!
In 1940, I'm sure, he was still busy holding down Poland and France etc.
In Wiki it says he made the decision to invade Russia in December 1940.

"Yes" , he would have stopped, IF Stalin would have been trustworthy!!! I still believe Hitler attacked Russia because he knew Stalin would attack him. It was almost common knowledge that Communism wanted to conquer the world. In order to have a slim chance of winning that battle, he needed to strike first and as soon as possible.:salute:

Your map is a very good one that shows so clearly Germany's position. It is understandable now that England worried about its empire status and Russia about its existence. But you tell me, RUS, what Hitler should have done to save Germany and Europe from Communism?

Why do you say that? Germany was not bad at all. It had a right to exist in a humane way. It had a right to assert itself. It had a right to correct a wrong and adjust its borders to pre-WWI status.
Yes, he did wait! But he couldn't wait forever. He knew something evil must have happened to Hess.

Hitler had signed Barbarossa plan in December 1940.
Staff began to make this plan in July 1940.

I know... it is a strange country to me and the Germans are all weird!!
The problem lies with you, Comrade RUS! You just don't get it, do you?
    For the second last time:

Stalin's Secret War Plans - Why Hitler Invaded the Soviet Union

When the German armed forces invaded the USSR on June 22, 1941, Berlin described the offensive as preemptive in the face of imminent Soviet aggression. The claim was generally dismissed as Nazi propaganda. Recently disclosed evidence from Soviet sources, however, suggests that Moscow's foreign policy was not governed by neutrality when Europe went to war in 1939.

    Nothing.

This quote from your link says that Stalin had not planned to attack Germany at least 10 years.

Yes, correct. BUT he must have changed his mind when he saw how quickly Germany defeated the West. In any case, Stalin did not trust Hitler, and Hitler did not trust Stalin - so, when Hitler found out Stalin was getting assembled, he decided to beat him to it and hoped he could be in Moscow before winter. Unfortunately, that didn't work out. It turned out to become a battle of life or death!! Death to Germany, because the Brits recovered, got help from USA and they all three pounded Germany to pulp.

And to this day they are still sticking together, upholding the lies about WWII.

Perhaps there all right, but Hitler decided to seize the territory of Russia as early as 1926. When Stalin was not the Leader.
While Hitler did not talk about the Soviet threat. At that time, he said that Russia helpless.

Therefore, Hitler's actions did not depend on the actions of Stalin.
