Pulling the Trump card, particularly when it has nothing to do with this particular issue, does not advance your argument a bit. In fact, you can't seem to articulate an argument. Why do you think that people who misused both their position and security clearance for partisan political uses shouldn't have their clearances pulled?

You MAGA types don't like any mention of your boy. I think you're in the wrong forum.
You're MAGA and stuff sails over your head.
You MAGA are the ones politicizing longstanding U.S. European policy. They have every right to speak out, just not to tell the world our secrets. You want to silence criticism of your policies.

So you've not only bailed on the thread topic, you've bailed on our discussion. I wonder, when you try to start things up with me, do you really think you are going to win? It seems like to me that you will try to start something and then have to start deflecting away from the topic because you didn't like where things were going. That's why we are here, where I've already asked more than once why do you think that people who misused both their position and security clearance for partisan political uses shouldn't have their clearances pulled? Instead, the response I get is some variation of "...but Trump!"

You didn't anticipate that I would ask the most obvious question about this entire issue?

    Unbelievable.

How MAGA of you to avoid the issue.
There's nothing to win or lose. You have an opinion I don't share or accept.
You think their free speech rights were suspended because they worked for the government. You just want to silence the critics of moronic MAGA policies.
The question assumes facts not in evidence. It's irrelevant.
    You try and try.

remember what the Republican Comey said..... only two options, blab or conceal

Comey choose to conceal Trump's investigation and blab about Hillary's investigation

Republicans seldom mention Comey's "October Surprise!" investigation of Hillary Clinton. Were it not for that, Clinton would likely have been President and the Republicans wouldn't be suffering through Trump.

Wow you are full of crazy inferences. One of the many reasons you're what's referred to as a dishonest poster.

Heh, ironic. You've made false statements about my statements in this thread and have tried to deflect from the topic multiple times. You claimed that I said I wanted to dismantle the intelligence services, you claimed this was about free speech, you tried to change the subject to leaking, which has nothing to do with this topic, and you tried to defend the legality of their election interference, which again was never the issue.

In summary, you approve these "Bozos" using their positions and security clearance in order to lie to the American people to help throw the election for their preferred candidate.

OK, you've made your position clear. We disagree.

I suppose because they didn't misuse their positions or their security clearances. They were signatories to a letter saying their experience lead them to believe it was possible for Russian disinformation to be at play. Not at all a stretch considering the affinity Putin has for Trump.

They were assisting the Biden campaign and an active CIA employee who was breaking the law to engage in electioneering. They knew that they were helping to engage in illegal activity with the stated purpose to give Biden "talking points" during a debate. Additionally, the DoJ had the laptop since 2019 and knew it was real. There was no reason to spread this disinformation when the truth was readily available.

GOP has proven to be completely useless on this 2020 election fixing for Bribed Joe, by these intelligence officials.

Well if you had signed a letter stating your experience lead them to believe it was Russian disinformation no one would care. But they traded on their professional reputations to commit election interference. Your side of the argument would sound more plausible if it was October 2020, and it apparently did to the public at that time, but here you are still trying to inflate a false story.

    Why?

I don't approve of lies they may tell or them doing it, if and when they do.

I also don't approve of you misrepresenting my views.

I don't approve of you editing out my reply. That's the sign of a loser. You would be smarter if you just abandoned a discussion rather than make it obvious you don't have good responses for your argument.

The letter speaks for itself. In part, it says:

"We want to emphasize that we do not know if the emails, provided to the New York Post by President Trump’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani, are genuine or not and that we do not have evidence of Russian involvement -- just that our experience makes us deeply suspicious that the Russian government played a significant role in this case."

My "side" is that the intelligence officials did nothing wrong and taking away their security clearances is typical MAGA chickenshit politics.
My comments were in opposition to your wrongheaded idea they should lose their security clearances. You would turn them into martyrs and harm our intelligence services. Finally, you will never find people to do these jobs competently who share anything like your world view.

If you think having their clearances pulled will make them "martyrs" then you should be for it. The revolution needs it's martyrs doesn't it?

You should think about why people who are no longer active in government service even have active security clearances. It's so these people can be pulled in for advice in a crisis situation. However if (big if of course) Trump wins, there is no way he's going to rely on these bozos for anything. Nor should he since they all went out on a limb and showed how incompetent they are.

    Pull their clearances.

What revolution? You figure MAGA are going to overthrow the government?
Trump screwed up foreign and trade policy in his first term.

As I said, Trump would turn them into martyrs. You're just lathered up.
Trump might be better off keeping his enemies close.

As is often the case, you are not making a good argument, or any argument. Trump should let them keep their clearances because he should keep his "enemies" close (I thought these were no partisan intelligence professionals !) and they will be martyrs?

Really, martyrs for getting their clearances pulled. OK that sounds dumb but you be you.
