The bottom line is, these people believe what they want to believe and nothing more. If their trusted sources do not report it, they will never consider the possibility that their sources are lying, either by omission or outright. It is the height of dishonesty but very convenient. It allows them to be ignorant and judgmental at the same time.

Look, we get it. The agents worded it carefully to give themselves an out. They didn't say it was absolutely Russian disinformation. But they strongly implied it, knowing full well that the media would treat it as a fact. Biden did just that during the debate and the corrupt media did the same. It was a lie! And it most definitely was election interference from folks who had no right to involve themselves.

This can't be a serious question can it? I mean, these guys traded on those security clearances for the purpose of election interference. You have to have a good moral character to hold a clearance and if you are using yours to interfere with an election or just to get attention, that would seem to demonstrate poor character.

Besides the reason to actually allow retired people to hold an active clearance would no longer apply if (A big if) Trump wins.

If you don't want to be humiliated, don't do something humiliating in the public square, and these bozos did that.

I simply don't think people who would pull this sort of election interference operation should be allowed to hold security clearances; they've demonstrated they're not up to the responsibility.

Sigh. You're ignoring three blatant facts, unsurprisingly:

1. The DOJ already had the laptop since 2019 and verified its contents, and that was not disclosed.
2. The request to call it Russian disinformation came from the Biden campaign, and that was not disclosed.
3. An explicit goal of the letter was to give Biden talking points in an upcoming debate to help him win the election, and that was not disclosed.

By omitting all of this information they were themselves engaging in disinformation. It's not a surprise that certain people love when disinformation is spread that helps their political party of choice. They're usually the same ones who supported an insurrection to remove a candidate from the ballot and prevent free and fair elections. It was literally campaign propaganda, like the Steele Dossier that the left was also unsurprisingly duped the gullible fringe leftists. It also ignores the fact that the meta data from the emails enabled the most damning ones to be verified by independent cybersecurity auditors.
