Religious missionary jobs are filled by priests and nuns. Other, non religious jobs like teaching computer science might fall to people of other religions or no religion at all. Look at it this way, you're a Methodist and a water pipe bursts in your house, do you ask the plumber if he's a Methodist? Yet at the same time you'd not hire a plumber with "All Methodists are child molester lovers!" painted on the side of his truck.
I was raised Catholic but have friends from many religions including islam, Hindi and Buddhists. Be what you want just don't deny others the same. My personal favorite passage of the Bible is the story of the good Samaritan. Both a priest and and levite passed a man beaten by bandits on the road but a Samaritan stopped to help him and paid for his care at an inn.
I hold contempt for those that preach faith but do evil on individuals. I hope that someday they'll see their evil and do better towards others.
