A tribute to George a.k.a Flounder

I have been gone for far too long apparently. George actually left me messages to come back...I can't believe this. He was my first friend on buzz and we ended up here together. I heard from our friend "changed" that he had passed and my heart is just aching. He was such a great person Chris. You were so fortunate to have him as your father, I was not as fortunate in life...so I know this with total certainty that he was a great father to you. He spoke about your family often and he loved you all so much, that was evident. He was a crazy, funny, smart, caring, talented guy. But, above all else he was a true gentleman. I will miss my little fish forever.

 

Flounder was a great moderator, even when dinging me up. He was one of the reasons I stayed as long as I did and why I used to donate. I stopped by, because I don't really post here much anymore and saw this. I am embarrassed it took me so long to find out. God speed and prayers for Flounder and his family.

 

He really was the best moderator this place has ever seen. I never minded getting a warning from Flounder. It always ended with us cracking jokes back and forth.

He was a real stand-up guy and one of the very few people who I've interacted with over the internet who I would have liked to meet in person. He gave me real life wisdom/advice that I take with me to this day.

 

This is saddening, Flounders posts were always a good read and reasonable.

 

Ah..miss you buddy!

Took a break from posting for 3 years and came back to read this.

So sorry to the family left behind, great mod and I'm sure he was a great person in " real life"
