As for attack in West Bank, Israeli citizens living on stolen land have been assaulting Palestinians for decades. And, not just in person assaults, but including the destructions of orchards, farm machinery, etc.

WOW!!! Palestine has made moves TOWARD peace. The IDF has stated that the government of West Bank is their strongest ally in maintaining peace and security.

For years, President Abbas has told his people there will be no peace through violence - that diplomatic progress is the only way. As such, he moved Palestine into the UN, subjecting Palestine to UN governance on human rights, conflict, etc.

Further, Abbas has worked hard to form a single unifying government of Palestine. This move would drastically reduce the influence of Hamas in Gaza. Besides making the unity government a single point of negotiation (rather than the split situation today) it would cause the unity government to be the recipient of all charges for goods crossing into Gaza - dramatically defunding Hamas and making the unity government the source of economic assistance in Gaza.

Israel has uniformly and violently opposed this progress that could not help but lead toward more peaceful resolution.

Anyone knowing the issues could go on concerning how Israel has absolutely refused to even consider peaceful resolution - with a dramatic escalation of Israel's refusal starting during the Bush administration where Netanyahu stated clearly and loudly that Israel would NEVER move toward peace and would continue it's program of humanitarian atrocity.

President Abbas has cooperated with the IDF in security to the extent that they allowed West Bank to have arms in order to be more effective at that. He constantly states that violence will not bring peace. He strongly advocates for negotiation. He joined the UN in a way that makes Palestine responsible to the humanitarian and legal branches of that institution that exist to prosecute atrocity.

By subsuming Gaza, Hamas would no longer be funded by the charges at borders for people and goods crossing the border - their major funding.

Yet, when President Abbas made his move to subsume Gaza, Netanyahu fought for HAMAS!!!


So, don't give my your CRAP about Hamas as if THAT is the issue. There was a solution for that, and Israel OPPOSED it - and they did so successfully!

 

At the end of the day - 93% of Arabs in Jerusalem do not want to be under "Palestinian" rule.

 

In NO WAY does that give Israel the right to perpetual war against Gaza or the continuation of the humanitarian atrocity being carried out by Israel in West Bank.

Beyond that, this poll is utter BS, because the issues in Jerusalem are FAR more complicated than that.

For example, Arabs who have representation in Israel are not going to give up that representation when Israeli law dominates ALL who live there.

It's really disgusting the ends to which Israelis go to justify the perpetual atrocities they commit.
