Ninety nine percent of the time when a Moskail says something double check because it very well may be a lie.

Because that would be an insanely stupid thing to do on the part of the greatest nation on earth.

Here is the fallacy of your thinking. Russia had a 50 year lease on the naval facility in Sevestopyl. They did not have to get a warm water port. There was no reason to invade since they had access to that naval port. When the USSR was desolved Russia, Ukraine, Khazakstan , and Belarus signed a treaty agreement that the borders of the former Soviet Republics are recognized as they were at the time of the divorce decree ( breakup of the Soviet Union). They all agreed that they would honor the soverenty of each newly independent country.

The Russians have a pretty good warm water port in and / or near Sochi.
They could have built a nice port in Sochi.
This is not about an issue of a fresh water port. This is Russia wanting to resurrect the USSR.

Why don't you tell why you think it's insanely stupid thing to do?

Here in however many decades it is until you have one foot in the grave from old age, I want you to remember what you said while you're eating a crow sandwich.

Ain't happening. Ever. Russia doesn't want it. Period. End of story.

The EU should have took notice how the USSR turned out. Their fate is the same.

It just does not make sense and based on a long history of Russian propaganda ( including Soviet but not limited to Soviet times) there is no way that story can be believed.
You follow Putin's yapping and you will read the quote where Putin said that the most disasterous thing that happened in the 20th century was the breakup of the Sovietskiy Soyuz. Putin is obviously doing all that he can to try and destableize and control Ukraine. He invaded parts of Georgia, and has Belarus by the short hairs because Lukasevich has no balls. The only reason he has not made military incursions into the Baltics is because they are all in NATO.

Exactly .. the Sovietskiy Empire was just about the same size as the Czarskiy Empire. Look at what happened during the Red Bolshevik inspired revolution. The Whites who were the pro Czarist forces attacked the fledgling Ukrainian National Republic much more than they fought the Ted -Bolsheviks. They, Russians were more worried about the loss of Empire than letting Communists take over Russia and captives.

So as I stated the Soviet Empire virtually the same as the old Czarist Empire.
